Wolfy, from memory, bhargav sold 90% odd of his stake in ggp when newmont walked away. He only kept a small amount.

Bhargav, it might be best if you don’t look at the share price for a month or two. I agree, it’s not what we want to see but no amount of ranting or raving will change the fact.

People have been known to have mental break downs by being over whelmed by stock price movements. I remember the dot com bust bust well. Novice investors were burnt silly.

Rob, bhargav seems to be a highly emotional investor. He oscillates between greed and fear depending on which way the share price is blowing. It’s quite a sight to see. Many books have been written about this subject.

This is a textbook example of how NOT to play aim stocks.

Impecunious, I think if the bod want to sell anza they could quite easily. But I don’t think anyone would buy it in a hostile manner if the bod did not wish to sell. It all depends on what the motives of the directors are. Personally, I think they wish to develop the project themselves with a new partner in tow.

Rob, I agree with your views. Some people find it very hard to accept a loss. If you have a low risk tolerance should you really be dabbling in the junior mining space, a sector notorious for wild swings? And AIM to boot. A gamblers paradise !

Dr, sensible posts. No doubt this share will come good at some point. I’m still optimistic and will add more if we go lower.

Frankly, Bhargav venting off all the time is quite annoying and yet he is buying more. I recall he used to come down hard on anyone who shared the slightest bit of bearishness on orosur.

Impecunious, when newmont first JV’d with omi the share price was around 3-4p. I think in the gold mining space, things are done in a gentlemanly way lol. Hostile takeovers are rare.

Break, from a legal standpoint I think you’re correct though I’m not a lawyer myself. I can only imagine omi want to remain on good terms with the two majors.

Perhaps the bod are thinking that playing hardball could close doors elsewhere? Gold mining space is quite small.

Re-reading the tpi note, it seems to imply they have funds to cover overhead costs into 2025. But they might do a raise for further exploration? Hope they clarify this in the webinar.

I agree Jeb, this non stop moaning is getting quite tedious now. We know how they feel. No need to keep repeating it.

I bet these same people will continue holding as the share price goes up and sentiment and the story improves. But I’d rather they sell.

I agree. The worst of the bear market is behind us. No doubt most of us would have sold out a couple of years ago if we saw this bear market coming. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. It’s all about managing risk and not getting too greedy.

Personally, I’m looking forward to the next 12 months with junior explorers coming out of hibernation and gold taking off towards $3000

I do agree though that buying stock wouldn’t go amiss. It would provide much needed confidence.

Yes, the share price has been appalling but I think Brad and Louie are doing ok. They weren’t dealt the best hand with newmont walking, political troubles in Columbia and a raging bear market.

All that is coming to an end though and like others here I was not pleased with the low priced placing.

The house broker says they don’t need cash for 12 months. I’ll take their word for it and perhaps Brad can confirm that in his webinar next week.

The turner pope note implies they don’t need further funding for 12 months. That’s a relief. They also say that they will be drilling in Nigeria . Reads well but who knows.

The mood on the board will be despondent until we get anza resolved. There is not much we can do about that. Yes, the placing was a surprise but at least the bod have got 17m new votes which will actually support management :)

Anza resolution could be 2-3 months away. So all we can do is be patient and perhaps not check the share price every day.

More raises to come but perhaps not soon if they partner with a new company in anza which involves up front cash payments. Similar to the newmont deal.

Rob, I’m expecting the next placing will be from higher levels.

What would 100% of Anza back to omi mean for the share price? I’ve no idea but I suspect it will be higher than it is now
