Spot on summary Tiger - apart from the payback period for fine chrome investment at current or anticipated chrome prices - you appear to have covered everything.

Apologies for the offtopic - it is impossible to discuss that other share on the allocated bb without getting a load of personal attacks from the residents - one of them seems to have come on here to have a go - (p.s. the company IS a mining company - they mine alluvium to extract pgms - folks were calculating the value of the mineral as 100% palladium when it is actually 90% platinum by value - I corrected them and you get more of what he just posted - also they explored two areas and are ready to mine it and have a mining agreement with Sinosteel - they are a mining company now).
Anyway - the relevance is that Tjate has lots of palladium, platinum etc and also we had a much higher share price than we have now on the basis of those in the ground assets - it is an interesting comparison - and IF 'investors' there make cash then JLP may well attract some of that cash - we will see what happens - meanwhile JLP in the waiting room nice and steady and as safe as you can find.
No news expected until May possibly but there may be updates before - could be an rns re offtake agreements for mines in the locality - maybe Star Zinc if Colin can get / has applied for a licence. Maybe another project - but not before the cash starts rolling in from Kabwe please.

"La parilla generating revenue, cash flow and substantial earnings" - I assume he means will be soon. Not what you would expect to hear if there were problems anticipated at La Parilla. He would surely be more guarded.

Looked between the lines for a hint of worry or negativity - not read it - perhaps the resident nay sayers will find some negativity if they try hard enough. A bit happier after listening to that podcast - albeit taken with a small pinch of salt as usual on AIM.

Hi Bricks - read the annual report and Colin's letter - typical Colin - a bit vague - some blaming of the market some cash raising through shares and warrants to keep things going. No idea how they would get that mine up and running. The short term chart looks like it's headed back to .018p IMO - after that who knows.

No I don't own any shares in EUA Tiger - have traded it and made a bit - not a lot. The share holders there only see the positives - but hey ho it's worked for those that bought or so it appears. The report that was apparently paid for by the board took me by surprise - the assumptions led to a massive share price prediction. Like the warrants - it looked like a part of a plan to get the sp up and keep the company afloat. I haven't seen a company force warrant holders to take up shares in order to raise cash. The platinum mining looks trivial and yet shareholders seem to think it is worth millions on it's own. There are many misleading 'facts' on the company website IMO.
Hope this hasn't been a con to get the CEO his cash back - the assets in the two drilled mine areas are worth at least 10p per share I would think if a buyout comes along. Good luck to those that hold - they are talking about £4 to £5 per share when it is out of suspension - it was about 7p last night!!!

Hi Bricks - had a quick look - first impression of EUZ is that they are cash strapped and don't see the way through to getting the finance they require to progress the project - they referred to the current economic conditions not being favourable. looks like they are getting all the info together that they have whilst stopping drilling and using what cash they have on analysis. They aren't doing a JORC which says to me they can't get any cash as this would be a key step to getting others on board. Looks like they need someone to come along with more financial clout and say we will take it off your hands as it stands. Would that interest JLP - well I wouldn't think so as it doesn't fit JLPs current profile. I think Colin would have to twist leon's arm a long way up his back to get him to take that on, on top of what JLP already have. More in Zambia would be more likely IMO.
Had a look at EUZs chart and it looks like it's broken the downtrend - so there is at least a change of sentiment - some hope has arisen from somewhere.

Hi Bricks - not au fait with EUZ but will take a look now you mention it.
Colin is always looking for opportunities - they often come to nothing and end up in the portfolio of things to come back to. He may have hit the jackpot with Gallileo after years of nothing coming to fruition - the Star Zinc and Ka****u assets may be great or a flop - doing some digging around there but hard to unearth hard facts - going to post small scale licence procedure on GLR today.
As for EUZ well a pattern is emerging of Colin sifting through his portfolio of assets and getting Leon to work his magic on them. Braemore and conroast, Middleberg, DCM, BMR - all going nowhere and Colin has put leon on them and got JLP to survive and come out of the other end. Still waiting for profits. linking Kabwe to Sable to JLP to Star Zinc to Ka****u could well prove to be a winner from a whole host of back burner opportunities. Will look at EUZ and see what it's about because it is just the way Colin's mind seems to work - opportunistic and then making the connections later.

Surely too early for a buyout as they haven't agreed terms with the bankers yet. Could be Norlisk buying part of the assets where they have synergy or Sinosteel securing their position by buying into the projects.
Was expecting a placing after the report they 'leaked' and bought and paid for which was greatly exaggerated IMO - but suspension for a placing is unusual in my experience.
CEO could have sold some shares - again suspension is drastic.
Curious - let's hope it's good news for those invested - they aren't all D Heads even though it looks that way when you read the posts on there. A boat load of rich people swarming all over AIM wouldn't be a bad thing for JLP holders.

As a non holder I really hope this is good news and you all make a boat load of cash.
I would be surprised if it is a buyout as the banks haven't even agreed their terms yet - but a left wing offer could have come in for all or part of the companies assets. Maybe Sinosteel want to secure a share of the action as they see it slipping away?
It could be a placing which wouldn't surprise me but there again it is not usual for suspension just for a placing (I did think when the company bought and paid for the report that was 'leaked' to PIs they were trying to get the sp up so they could get a decent price at a placing).
It could be a share sale by the CEO but again not usual to have a suspension.
It could be the banks findings meaning they quit because the figures don't add up - also unlikely IMO.
Why have I bothered posting - well it helps in these situations to prepare yourself for the possibility of disappointment and then be pleasantly surprised rather than expect the best and then be gutted.
Don't fret over something you have no control over.
Fingers crossed it is good news but expect the worst is my advice just in case.

Funny old game Ivans - EUA have produced no mineral for going on 5 months and have had pitifully small amounts of income for the past couple of years - they ramp up the share (the CEO) - they pay a company to write a very, very bullish report full of adventurously high assumptions and it's a 16 bagger. JLP - expand and work and build and goes up to fall back again, JLP is by far the better company IMO but others disagree and what the masses think is what counts. JLP s the safer bet - but who wants safety when they can make mega bucks by doing no research, no work and applying no thought. JLP for me - soon. Also a risky punt on GLR given the recent JLP communications.

Hi lucky orange - I am glad that ADVFN exists so that all the m.r.ns have some where to hang out - tried reading there on several bb's but have to come off after 5 minutes.
I honestly don't think anything at all has changed Lucky O. I was here at 13p - no-one was interested - it became a super charged share like FRR, GKP, SXX, EUA etc. Everyone was telling their mates about it - it was going to make everyone millionaires etc. The bubble burst that's all and folks are gradually giving up hope and taking their money to the next share that their mate thinks is going to make them millionaires.
The sell off will go too far - you might think it already has - some did and caused the bounce at 50p - twice. It could go to 40p quite easily - the charts don't look good - and 25p at a push. Sounds ridiculous but if we look back with hindsight - so was the rise.
A drop from 180p to 90p looked very unlikely but it did - a 50% fall.
A drop from 90p to 45p - another 50% - surely not - nearly there.
from 45p to 22.5p - you get the picture.
What has changed with VRS - nothing - the punters had unrealistic time frames and have run out of patience - that's all.
So - is it a good investment - I would say yes - but an even better one at 40p rather than 50p and even better still at 25p. You pays your money and you takes your choice - it is all about judging the sentiment of the others who hold or might buy the shares - how does that balance feel today - how do we all feel - nervous, doubtful, a bit hopeful, slightly confused - it has become self feeding.
Oh and the rns - they issued it and said nothing - now those waiting for the game changing rns know it's still a while off, otherwise something would have been in that rns or they would have held off for a while until they were ready to release the news.

there hasn't been much discussion on here about a possible placing. It was mooted a couple of months ago but the interview (vox I think) explained that there was about 9 months worth of cash available and in any case there are other sources of cash available to the company.
A couple of months on and we have about 7 months cash available - so exactly as expected.
The rns is out because the company have no control over the share price and want to calm people down - the material affect of the share price being down is that a placing would need far more shares issued to raise the same amount of cash - wonder what Tom W makes of that - actually I don't wonder - he posts in line with whatever he is doing now.
The sp has not been affected by the rns at all - the chart said down too far too fast and a bounce to 55p ish likely - it would have happened without the rns. The rns is not going to turn the sp around - it causes as much speculation (why are they so worried about the share price) as it reduces worries.

This fall is all down to sentiment. Just drove to my daughters and passed 7 churches on one street. 5 have been converted to houses, one is up for sale and the other is only open at weekends or special days.
At one time they would have been crowded with believers who were told what a great thing God was by other believers. Steadily they looked at the logic, the lack of evidence and some stopped believing - the process has accelerated to the point here only a small percentage of those persuaded to believe now do. Nothing materially has changed much but people have gradually stopped believing.
The same has happened to VRS - when only the last stalwarts believe and all others have given up hope - that is when to buy (if you still believe). 50p under pressure already - giving it a couple of days to see what the congregation is like then. GLA.

Not as relaxed as you Oiltap - only got 10% of what I had in JLP at the last peak - may add to that soon. The company is in a much, much better place than 6 months ago and the sp is much cheaper. Now is the time to buy IMO - just have to have the courage to take the risk but less risky now than when it cost more.

It's funny how these things roll Oiltap - you have been a consistent supporter of the share for some time now.
Not long ago GLR was being ramped on here and on other boards at .6p and above when they needed more cash and the prospect of supplying JLP at Sable was just a pipe dream. they hadn't even applied for a small scale mining licence.
Now they have raised cash and the news coming out of JLP is getting stronger and stronger that they are going to take 3rd party Zinc sooner rather than later, the licence application result must be due very soon and the sp is near to 0.4p.
My only conclusion is that those who were touting it around were eager to sell and needed buyers above .6p - not heard much from them since.

Yes I am well thanks jaytee - SAVP is a bit of a conundrum - excellent fundamentals and loads of upside potential but the sentiment isn't there yet - happy to hold for another year and wait for value to out. Not been in VOG since it was 10x the current value - can't see it ever making a profit. missed out on BLOE - the FRR mob dived in there to try and make up losses and keep the dream going. Am down on WRES but it is ramping up production and the chart looks like a break out is due (up or down?). Sold JLP after the last placing and waiting to go in there with at least 50% of my money when it looks like it's bottomed - could be a month or three. had a little punt on GLR who want to supply JLP and low and behold they have the same Chairman - awaiting a mining licence.
My portfolio is down about 15% since Christmas - wiped out all of last years gains on paper - but hey ho - buy low and sell high is the mantra, one day Rodney, one day.

Production for January given the post Christmas period and all the teething troubles may be about 60T. February is where most of the tweeking is going to be done and we may see 90T. Then March we have 3 shifts and lots of tweaking done and we may see in excess of 120T. Further improvements will go from there as everything is continually refined and improved.
stating that they produced 60T for a month now would feed the nay sayers whereas a quarter end will show the ramp up figures and the progress being made. Is the market convinced on production rates - no - that's why the sp is so low - any decent results will give confidence and up she will go.

I think the market is asking the same question jaytee and not coming up with an answer.
Support levels
75p-offered strong support and a good rebound but failed.
60p caused a brief pause and crashed through - surprisingly quickly IMO.
50p has some buyers who were waiting for 50p - could see a bounce with 60p as resistance - giving it a miss as it looks like trying to catch a falling knife.
40p - let's hope it doesn't come to that.
25p is fill your boots time IMO but it's a long way off and any positive news should steady the ship.
