RE: Huge selling20 Nov 2024 21:12
I don't think he/ she is that Olderandwiser. If Oberon were playing that game ...
1. They would have set up multiple identities many months ago.
They would not be so blatant, they would have a much more subtle approach.
Trek , I'd have to trawl Aim regs , but if I recall correctly both DM & WBS will be party to a one year lock in from admission date & not be allowed to sell a bean. Unless that rule has been updated recently.
I do however think Oberon could be disposing of some & also trading. Fairly easy to set up a series of iceberg transactions & trade around the sell at price. Too many rounded 50 & 100 k transactions imo and too frequent to be pi's.
Although I have known Pi's who deliberately sit just under the reporting threshold, who operate similar tactics and have made a small fortune in lengthy no news periods, when volume low.. it's easy to swing a sp sufficiently to make it worthwhile if executed frequently enough.
As a general observation , I don't buy into the much espoused theory of the mm's collecting shares, they have very strict limits .. for obvious reasons.
Final thought, as Oberon are sitting on a huge very profitable holding , I'm very suprised they haven't issued a TR1 and reduced their clients exposure. They've had a few bad results in recent years and this investment is a big win for them.
Just imo & fully accept I could be very wide of the mark.
