Breatheasy I live with one doctor, one surgeon and one dermatologist. The latter two are private consultants, their normal place of work was closed down, taken over by the govt in case needed., as were nearly all private hospitals.No elective surgery was carried out and they and the anesthetists could not work. The surgeon did some shifts in A and E , the dermatologist after two months of zero work was finally allowed to see some urgent cancer cases. All these private NHS trained consultants could be utilised to help the frontline. My comments were no criticism of what you do, rest assured I am no couch potato nor is anyone in my household. I was talking about resource mgt not the fantastic job frontline staff do on a daily basis and not just during the pandemic. Think you need a beer to calm down.

Org/Seb, I merely stated deliberately causing havoc on a share board sucks , I believe SNG has the potential to save lives. If I had been invested in something to save people's lives if they got flu and folks were deliberately making stupid comments I would make the same comments. My views on a lot of things are very similar to yours, I think lockdown has crippled our economy for many years, I would protect the elderly and those with comorbidities , would put NHS trained specialists who sat doing nothing as they are now in private medicine on the front line if there is another full blown surge, thereby protecting bame if more suspectible. I would not close down society as it is damaging for mental health. I too have children and have tried to maintain as much normality as possible. I am very frustrated with the way this has been handled , no elective surgery, dentists, kids out of school, exam fiasco the list is endless . Do not blindly follow what anyone says but think the board has today been a farce .

Interesting Kilkenny, one would have assumed as it has been known for months that winter season would be tough, that they already had this inf at their fingertips, seems basic PM to me. Nova were able to develop, test and get approved Wintetplex, yet the gov fail again and haven't been able to collate who can provide what. Doesn't bode well.
