We know they are winning new business (revenue) because they tell us in the results that they expect to be trading in line with market expectations (you can see those expectations on their website under the analyst section)
I think the main point on the IL3 offering is that with the vast majority of Government departments still using Microsoft software and Microsoft quite rightly see that customers are moving away from buying physical hardware to utilising the product through the “cloud” (enhanced by the new guy in charge of Microsoft as he was head of the cloud strategy), Microsoft needed a IL3 secure platform that needs to be built within the UK borders, Microsoft approached Outsourcery to build it (you will find that remark on the video in the investor section of OUT’s website).
and from the results …….. “Keen to capitalise on the public sector opportunity, Microsoft is pursuing a global initiative to target this sector via partners in key markets. Outsourcery is proud to have been selected as the first such Microsoft-validated partner in the UK. With them, we have agreed to deploy an IL3 accredited platform based on next generation Microsoft technology, hosted in the UK and wholly owned and operated by us”
“Whilst it is still early days, the long term opportunity in the UK public sector is significant. First of all, as many UK Government workloads are already run on Microsoft-based technology, our offering is well aligned. Second, many significant UK Government IT contracts are due for renewal over the course of the next three years. Taken together, at current value these contracts add up to an annual contract value of £3.7 billion. In addition to this clear economic case, Outsourcery is well positioned to act as a trusted partner to many of those larger system integrators that now find themselves disadvantaged against SME providers in the procurement process. We will continue to update the market as our development efforts in this emerging segment progress.”
So at the moment any company wanting to continue providing their Microsoft offering to the Government through the cloud as opposed to selling them hardware with the Microsoft software inside will have to become a reseller of Outsourcery ……. being the only company able to offer the above puts OUT firmly in the driving seat and you only need watch the TV or read news articles to realise that the CEO Dragon has good relationships with Government bods
Very exciting times
