IF the deaths are virus linked and IF the number of cases has increased exponentially in the course of just over one week, then I’m guessing that you have to express 29 deaths as a function of the number of cases discovered in the first few days, so way higher than 2.9%, or you have to accept that the virus can kill you PDQ, or both.

IF you choose to accept the figures, of course.

I watched Channel “Contagion” tonight. Their virtual virus experiment was number-crunched with a R0 of 1.8 and 2% mortality. About two thirds of the population were infected in the simulation, 886,877 deaths. That was with a “simple” corona virus. COVID19 hides and reinfects.

Oldie, I agree with you regarding the death rate. You don’t get half a dozen bodies per 100m of pavement, with a 2% mortality rate.
