Just for the record - I have no argument with anyone here.
Words have a specific legal meaning when used in contracts (implied or otherwise).
As for the word "Guaranteed". Just look at what happened to (what was) the worlds oldest insurance company - namely Equitable Life - when they handed out willy-nilly guaranteed Annuity rates (12% I think at the time). The Lords ruling is quite hard to read but is out there for folks to read.
Similarly I sued a well-known bunch of estate agents when they emailed me to say one of my rental properties was returned in "excellent" condition - when it wasn't in order that I would release the renters deposit. Excellent also a specific legal meaning. I won of course.
