Any news good or bad has to be released 'as soon as' if it's deemed to market sensitive. Obviously they're allowed time to check the results out, dot the i's and cross the t's. But hanging onto the results for some arbitrary point in time / meeting is absolulety not allowed.

I don't disagree with your points per se - it was just a worked example.
Yes 10p in the £ might be stingly on my part - normally business start talking about 20p in the £ for (buying) assets so it could be more than I suggest for the 5% FMV - I was just being cautious.
The MRE again I used a low-ball figure for caution. Having looked at and worked through the various workings the many clever people on this board have come up with my gut feel (and I'm not a geologist) is that 13m oz might be nearer the mark.
So if we said for the sake of argument that it was 12m oz then you could add 50% to my $80m.
Getting from 25% to 10% ? I just think that NCM will argue the risk is all theirs if the remaining 25% was split 50-50. So it's a guess. Pure and simple. Revenue or Profit - yeah probably.

I've been thinking for some time that this is the right way to go.  And the reason it is so attractive to both companies is Cash Flow which is so important to running a business.  This royalty approach is cash flow neutral.  We don't give NCM any money for our share of the digging and they don't give us any money for giving up a bit more of HAV.

When the current exploration is finished NCM will own 70% of HAV plus 5% at Fair Market Value (FMV).  That leaves 25%.  It is only natural to think it should be split 50-50 but as NCM are effectively carrying all the risk that split is too generous to us.  So I think it will be 15% to NCM in return for a 10% free carry.  This is still a lot of money in the fullness of time.

That leaves the 5% at FMV.  How much is that ?
If the MRE is say 8m oz and an "in the ground" figure is 10cents in the $ then we get something like :-
8m oz * 5% = 400,000 oz
400k oz @ $2000 = $800m
10% for cash means NCM will pay US$80m to GGP.

Hopefully that makes sense and stacks up!

The whole of the internet in the UK was slow first thing this AM as punters were queuing online in their millions for their Christmas Tesco home delivery slots (which have just been released and now all gone) ..............

I suggested the other day that 20p in the £ was the normal (starting point) for selling assets. Of course if you've got a lot then 10p in the £ might be more realistic sooooo..... I'm thinking somewhere between £1.50 and £4 is the most likely outcome.
....if they sell ALL the assets of course.

I don't disagree at all Monkey70 I was as much as anything trying to get a baseline figure for my own valuation.
Perhaps the scarcity factor will more than offset the bulk discount I suggested which of course would be great.
I'd be properly over the moon if we got £4 but equally I'd like an outright sale really as I've been in this share a long time.

The simple equation for calculating an equity share price might look something like:-
Sum of all future Cash Flows ie income (discounted back to today) Plus Assets Minus Liabilities
Obviously in the real world of bulge bracket investment companies this would result in a mass of numbers in some sort of database resembling a multi-dimensional spreadsheet.

With EUA we can concentrate on the Assets as the other 2 items are small relatively. As the 16:06 post from Mugwump I think said we need the NET value (ie ex-AISC) which I quote as £50 billion.
The next thing to factor in is that someone buying whatever Asset ISN'T going to pay 100p per £1 of asset. Normally I would think it would be 20p in the £ (depends on the industry).
So 20p in the £ would give an equivalent share price of £3.75 - if I've calculated that correctly. This may be too high as I don't think the 20p in the £ is a linear equation i.e. you get a discount for buying bulk.
Half-that ie 10p in the £ would result in a share price of just under £2.
This is the figure I would like; less than that and I would be disappointed.
More than £2 per share would be a Brucie bonus.
