Small world. Mrs Babbler used to work in BZW Bonds. You implied that your friend was still working and has been for 46 years which must make him at/beyong state retirement age. Sounds like your friend was in Equities ? - like me. I was there when it was flogged off to CSFB (at the wrong point in the market cycle by Martin Taylor). Did he go there? Then I left to help set up a hedge fund :)

I agree with WelshFalcons' earlier post re business and perhaps the problem isn't with NCM per se, perhaps it's the process.
And by the that I mean... just perhaps the MRE isn't 100% complete.
And why would that be? Too much information ? When and where to stop "counting" ?
I'm really optimistic that MRE2 will be larger than many think. Quite a few on this BB have stated that the MRE2 cannot possibly be 10 Moz - but don't give any real reason why that is the case.
So the quesiton is..
Q. What scientific reason is there that MRE2 cannot be 10 Moz ?
A. None that I can think of - after all we've drilled enough holes and they're all hits and SD has tweeted quite a few really positive messages about how much is there.
The other thing that is bugging me is the inferred.
Some have stated that it doesn't affect the current SP - okay I agree with that
BUT....
the inferred is very important for us (GGP) because it will give SD a marker on what the future growth of HAV will be like and so should affect the 5% figure (even if it's a vey low number say $50 per oz or whatever).
Perhaps that's the problem? The inferred is too big and NCM aren't sure how to deal with it.
...oh hang I've just fallen into the same trap as everyone and putting 2+2 together to make 5......

So there's more than 1 possible scenario just saying.....

FWIW I believe it's monetisation events that cause re-rates. In this case I strongly believe we need to get some of the DSO shifted pronto and stop any further need for financing. Just getting that 1 project rolling will give time, space, money to realise the other great project EH.
