There is next to zero chance of Greatland selling their 30% of HAV as Shuan Day has said they would only entertain "an eye-watering sum of money" and nobody, but nobody in their right mind would pay over the odds for ANY asset.

As for Newmont selling HAV to us; it's possible but there has been indications that they might keep it so we can't say for sure one way or the other at the moment.

Agreed TT. This independent valuation (in one respect at least) seems "rather shortsighted" I feel. Oh well, seems our fortune suddenly looks a LOT brighter. IMHO

Next up on the Corporate front has to be ... share Consolidation - surely if SD wants to list on ASX.

So given that hasn't EVEN been announced I can't see an ASX listing this side of Xmas.

At the end of the day Newcrest / Newmont are trying to merge their businesses, not keeping random PI's on the LSE happy.

It's simply a question of priorities.

Words eh? Some see one meaning others something else.

I think Newmont have realised quite quickly, like me, that Hav is much, much bigger than one might first suppose looking at the MRE.

Of course its not impossible that they'd sell it but I'd put that likelyhood in the region 10-20%.

Also Newmonts take over of NCM - where's the needle on that ? Suggest its north of 90%

This ASX listing isn't to fundamentally access capital; they have access to whatever they want through their banking consortium and their well-heeled mates. This ASX listing is all about getting exposure to gold hungry investors in Greatland's home turf.

Just IMHO.....

The 5 diggers are sitting on golden tickets. The longer they sit, the more they win.

These well-heeled investors are looking for 'multiples' of their original investment over 'time'. 5 times would be limp, 10 times good and 20 times great. Just depends on what YOUR time horizons are.
