I've just ordered some (8 boxes so far today)
I'd previously argued against ordering track n trace tests just to bin them as it's a waste and could mean someone needing them being sent them. This was months before the FDA scandal and govt fraud came to light so f**k em, if handonc0ck is happy to take the p*ss, so am i. As the govt have no problem giving UK industry the run around, instead signing dodgy deals and lining Chinese pockets I've therefore no qualms in ordering a load each day just to bin.
Website says limit of 1 box per 7 days. However you can get round this quite easily.
Use a Gmail account as you'll need to receive a verification code, but you can use the full stop trick to get multiple codes, eg if your address is johnsmith@gmail.com, you can enter your email as John.smith@gmail.com, or Jo.hn.smi.th@gmail.com and it will still get through.
For address, choose 'my address is not listed', if you live at 10 somewhere street, enter as 10a, 10b etc somewhere street for next order, plenty of letters in the alphabet to use.
These will go straight in the bin, where they belong.
I just hope the next RNS doesn't keep repeating "we believe we have a strong case to assert our contractual rights". Seeing the p/e ratio finally correct itsself (even if no where near where it should) might put us on the radar
So they change the criteria again so no current test on the market can achieve it, and on same day say the DHSC procured innova test is exempt from these changes. Will a new test appear in next 2 months that fulfills the criteria, get ce marking, pass PD etc? Of course not, so then govt will give a 12 month extension come September. Also explains why innova were happy to move production to wales, regardless of FDA scandal they would have been told weeks or months ago about these changes and that they'd be safe to go ahead.
I hope avacta have given up on the UK market now, just go for Europe and B2B sales. I'm trusting As is wise to what is going on, tell the Govt to ram their NDA. Absolute joke.
Not surprising really.

MrAdventurous - good idea, I've sent a (several) question to them
On your website you have a 'contact us' page, labelled as "This form / email address is for commercial/business enquiries only". Having sent a genuine business enquiry re. the LFT for up to 10000 units last week I have yet to receive an acknowledgement. Is there a technical reason behind this (and why an automated thank you for your enquiry reply hasn't been setup), does the volume of enquiries mean they cannot be replied to - in which case this should be stated on the contact form and via autoreply, or are they ignored due to ongoing contract discussions, in which case again this should be communicated to prevent frustration.
Has LSE crashed as SP is showing as blue?
Will be interesting to see what size orders are revealed via RNS, novacyt only ever RNSd the 2 govt contracts, even individual sales of £1m+ aren't deemed worthy of an RNS, so we could well be fulfilling smaller orders right now. However I sent a (genuine) enquiry last week via the avacta website for up to 10000 units via my business email account and haven't even had an acknowledgement, let alone a response.
I don't do twitter but maybe someone could ask Al if anyone is monitoring their enquiry email address from the LFT contact box, and if so, what is the point, as ignoring enquiries of genuine interest isn't great business sense.
Could sure do with an update tomorrow from Al, either to say our test is still being considered, we've withdrawn from tendering or even better, here's a 12 month order for 5m a month from spain.
This all playing nicely in to the hands of novacyt. ODX/Mologic visitect test failed PD, frozen samples don't work with the avacta test, innova might as well be toxic. Who else can provide a sovereign test?
I see a very good few weeks here, my avacta holding likely to take a hit so will be good timing.
Explains why Al Is going after Europe first, what a cluster ****. Just hope mologic aren't doing this to also purposely scupper the mologic branded avacta test, as its exactly what I would do if I was a spiteful partner, timing it when the Govt are about to select a test. Maybe better all round to scrap moonshot and let market choices dictate the best test. We already know the ODX/Mologic test is crap to use and has poor accuracy compared to ours. Wouldn't surprise me if govt were to carry on with innova or select another dodgy foreign test.
Hopefully all the major news outlets get hold of this and demand that the govt select the best LFT to replace innova, not the cheapest or quickest to produce.
Reminds me of those fake mine detector devices from some years back.

Its like the smart watch fad, every electronics manufacturer had to have one. Majority are crap but some stand out. Innova stood out as they were only ones who could produce enough, Avactas stands out as it is the most accurate S protein AN test and uses affimers, ODX/Mologic stands out as its a home grown UK test, albeit not gold standard, will be interesting to see what novacyts USP is, perhaps best N protein test or a tie up with a big pharma (roches test is a bit crap). Given the UK is likely to choose one single test for consistency the EU and USA are key markets
We're making £10m a month so far, oriens, we don't know what we've been making this last quarter as GM wont tell us. If next trading update is less than £10m I cant see the SP going up.
The release of the LFT over next few weeks could help us back towards £4
I just hope the next RNS doesnt say " we believe we can exert out contractual rights" again, just sort the damn dispute out one way or the other.
Probably asked this before but cant remember the answer, do Medusa only have exclusivity for private sale in the UK or in all regions? If its just UK, and avacta are about to sign an agreement with HMG to 'sell' to Joe Public (even if actually distributed FoC) which would effectively side step medusa and mean zero chance of direct to consumer sales in the UK, I'd be beating Al around the face with the contract he signed demanding 50% of the fee. Or would they be taken on board as a manufacturer as a sweetener? Or would the test effectively being mologics at this stage mean its not an issue (for now)?
The best test has always been the one you could buy, and buy in sufficient quantities. I'm hoping the next RNS is additional manufacturing partners, followed by EU approval. If UK does have first refusal I'd expect there is a time limit element, then again this might only apply to the mologic branded version of our test, when we bring it all in house maybe Al can give 2 fingers to DHSC and sell to ze germans unless gov sign on the dotted line pronto.
Don't care, we'll sell to Europe and later in the Summer, the US. Its the Govt problem If they want to go with an inferior test, wouldn't surprise me if they stick with innova.
The aim over next 12 months is to make enough money to fund the cancer therapies and future drug targets for clinical trials, promote affimers in other partnerships. We'll do that with or without being the 'chosen one', might take a few extra months that's all. If we're in discussion with 25 markets in the EU, given that the UK got one over on them they be keen to tie up some EU wide agreement, that really would make bojo and govt look like chumps if they got in there first
