Having been involved in negotiations to purchase and dispose of large asset or two i can say it can be a bit of game. The parties involved have to deal with expectation and reality. I hear you say the market decides...What you want to ask is what is the market...is it an auction and if so, likely, who turned up...I once was the only bidder on a Woodland. Reserve, no...I set that price and whilst it 6 months to get the call, i got the woodland ! That is the market.
