If this is all true, (there seem to be many angles at work on this board) why would you not keep all and ride the price up and gain twice the divi's for life? I have no intention on selling any of mine. (Not that this should influence others in their decisions).

I agree with 2, 3 and 4..... About 1, I would say that gold price is dependant on world conditions, it's a "run to" hedge in uncertain times, one only has to look at the 5 year chart to see this. But what's also a factor here is that the same thing (the war), which I think is pushing gold up, is also pushing our Poly down. So when the war ends, gold may retrace a bit but the stock price will fly in my view. So it's a bit of a "Win Win situation. (I actually think that the stock price will rise many % times more than any drop due to any potential gold price retracing). I may be a bit wrong though in that when production really picks up in China, industrial gold use will grow too. It's a nice place to be at the moment. So I've just shot my foot off with that!

Those who publisize their filter list are to my mind simple control freeks. They wish others to do as they have. They take some sort of '1984' like pleasure from thinking that others should do as they want or say. How does a person with fewer than 10 posts have such an extensive filter list I wonder?
My view is simple, if one is adult enough to invest in stocks and shares, one is also most likely to be able to decide on who to filter. Hopefully they can also choose their own underwear, so you don't have to tell us that next.

Whilst I agree with your views that inflation will have an impact on profitability and ability to pay and level of divi's, one also has to consider the terms of any contracts placed for major outgoings. These could well have been on a fixed price or bought forward basis amongst others. Here in the UK inflation is running at double the rate of wage increases. So, all in all, I think taking the base percentage inflation increase 'could' give a more negative angle on real business cost increases. I would hope that in the end if gold stabilised at a 7% to 9% increase over the year, that this would balance out the cost rises.
Just my view/hope!

True, but then all new ones is presently set for ten years later. Are you saying that this is unimportant to the sale of gas and oil on the world markets? Do you think that companies are going to switch over on day one? There will be a ramping down of gas and oil useage up to that date, this will effect prices I would say. Bury your head in the sand all you like, these changes are coming and it's for proven good reason however inconvienient.

Never mind the party line does not allow you to see reality. Not my loss. Not sure if you realise but it shows gas useage for power generation, also your bosses should improve you training notes, because as I've said and it's checkable, new gas boilers are outlawed in 2025 so no more are being made or fitted. You better think about if your government is going to be able to pay people like you after that. Shame.....

Good to see Poly close in the black, as we all saw, still very much affected by war developments (Pos and Neg) but the newer buyers I think will be less willing to sell up having gotten in at a higher level.
