RE: Short increased again28 Apr 2026 21:02
Well before Lewis? That is a long time. I would never leave a large amount in that long. But this damn share took funds I could have had in RR. Had some in RR but way more in CPI. Also sold Centrica for CPI too.
Yeah, always been "jam tomorrow", it's just taken way too long and if people bought at "proper prices" ie before covid, they will never get their money back.
Why the shorts are so high, I don't know. Possibly a combined effort with the press to convince people to sell. Another bad article printed in the Telegraph today. More and more of those plus high shorts will spook investors and some will sell. But as others have pointed out, a lot of the big boys are still here and a lot of broker recommendations are higher than today's price. I'm not selling at these levels, I'm going to wait until June. If they miss the target, which knowing Capita they will, I will have to look at things. Adolfo I do believe in, he has a fantastic background, but CPI could be too big a job. But the current price is too low, we were over 400p before the contact centre cr@p was sorted. The drag from that ruined forward guidance. Without it, the results were fairly strong. Hopefully the sale goes through, they sort the bloody civil service pension sh*te out and we get meaningful fcf. I can see another hiccup along the way mind. If I'm being honest, I just don't see how they sort the pension mess in 2 months.
