My very simple view is that quite a few of us got too swept along when the share price rose rapidly to37p -We all thought that this was the one in a million share that would give us a boat, smart car and houses and millionaire status(for some) very quickly
It has been a real learning curve for me and I expect some others.
I still feel things will come good in time and gold will rise (in part for some very sad reasons ) , the gold at Havieron will be mined, and we will have a board/support second to none --Alas we are all getting older and some may not see the fruits of their investments for as long as they would wish-and for those it must be desperately disappointing There are those who have put so much time and effort in trying to share their knowledge and wisdom - for which I am very grateful-despite them ,at times ,being pilloried . There will always be bumps in the road ,large and small ,in a mine development -
Whatever the eventual outcome please be kind to each other- there is enough hurt in the world already
MH01 I totally agree about VERY VERY sad wars -I really hope for the worlds sake we dont have an escalation -I fear we are closer than when we had the Cuban missile crisis -The recent events have saddened me greatly and I really feel for those innocents caught up in all of them .ATB Jonno
I'm not sure this is 100% done deal -YET-dont Newcrest share holders have to vote yet,It may well be that they will vote in favour , but so far only Newcrest Board have unanimously voted for it.Newmont shares are up 2.5% -newcrest down 1% ATB Jonno

This comment is NOT a recommendation -but a Tally bank card or similar is a possibility -where you use currency to buy gold and you then pay for purchases with the card with money that is backed by gold held in a Swiss Bank .The company used to be Lionsgold , the shares of which have been suspended for several years ( I think this card /company was discussed quite recently on this web site) . there are others on here who I think have a Tally card who may be able to shed more light . I think the principle is one I like but whether Tally is the right card ,I am unsure

I am no expert (far from it ) and the Daily Express tends to be dramatic on alot of things but if true the financial world is in a scary place- The global bond market is worth $128 trillion ,the global stockmarket is worth $107 trillion - the bond market is in trouble as the value of long term bonds has fallen due to inflation and no-one wants them as newly issued ones guarantee a higher interest rate -The Express says that if the old bonds had to be cashed urgently there isnt enough in bonds to cover 50% of American Banks Liabilities ATB Jonno

I am not sure whether Tally money will relist -I bought a little in Lionsgold now Tally Money and it has been threatening to relist for years-The CEO is not felt ,by quite a few on the Chat page ,to be the right person in charge and have questioned his integrity.Whether the Tally account is vunerable in any way ,I am not sure. When I bought Lionsgold I felt the idea behind it was very good ATB Jonno

IF -and it is a big IF in my opinion .Newmont/Newcrest wanted to sell Havieron /Telfer-then what you suggest may involve Fortescue with their 67 billion market capitalization (several ex/closely linked with Fortescue -GGP board memebers ).Money would not be a huge challenge to find ATB Jonno
