The report from Nordstrom is good, they had higher revenue and profits, while at the same time still holding plenty of product to sell into the market.
They are being cautious with their forward facing statement, however the technicals and fact speak of good revenue streams still.

This bodes well for ASOS, as this statement will mean that up until 30th July we have a indication of Asos revenue in that period which we are waiting for them (Asos), to report on.

"Net sales in the second quarter increased by 12%
The retailer's earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose by 33%"

This is great news for expected extra revenue to Asos via their newly formed partnership.

The next financial statement from Asos is Final results for the year ended 31 August 2022 12th October 2022

Either way with both Boohoo and Asos, I'm sure most can agree how the share prices have been crippled and lowered just over sentiment.
We are still yet to see the yields from both companies, however general market reports are positive.

Isle of Man gov just stepped in for their citizens, I expect who ever wins the Tory leadership race will unveil a plan to cap energy or help people as way if appearing to be saviours.

The fact that the energy companies are ramping pricing and making record profits is clearly them taking advantage of the public, and they will be in serious trouble with regulators if they can't lower fuel cost.

Mid October we broadly will see a slight positive turn in the market as a whole, with people returning from holidays, and the new Autumn/Winter season of purchasing and production commences.

Both shares look like at bottom with plenty on top to be made.

With positive news and reaching similar levels of revenue and profit, what kind of MCAP could be expect?

Yeah, JP Morgan and Mike Ashley buying up 9% of the shares is good enough reason to expect this to be floor.

The price is lower than COVID 2020, and in that time Asos has acquired rivals (TopShop), expanded their US and EU operations, increased revenue, and increased the volume of consumers buying via them.

All in all, it's insane for the MCAP of one if the largest fashion retailers to be so low.

Asos seem like a great opportunity at the moment. Price at 10 year low, they have cash reserves.
New CEO, lots of hiring and expansion into US and EU.
JP Morgan has just bought 6% of the company. And Mike Ashley has bought 2.9%.
Currently 5% shorts which is nice to have at the bottom as they will be looking to close position and realise profits.
Autumn and Xmas clothing sales starting.
Strong integration with youth segment that are the biggest purchasers of clothing.

Get ready with golden tickets, as there is only 100m shares, with small free float.

The next few weeks this share will start to climb in line with clothing purchase.
With cost of energy increasing people will be buying lots of warm clothes for home.

When you have 9% of the shares being bought by JP Morgan and Mike Ashley, then you know that we have reached a floor.

Another RNS from JP Morgan, looks like they are now holding over 6% of the shares.

Seems like potential for an Asos takeover at current price, and with Mike Ashley taking a stake and JP Morgan this is being interesting.
If Asos merge with Fraser Group what does that mean for BooHoo?

JP Morgan and Mike Ashley have bought up 8% ish of Asos.
Looks like some consolidation of share in smaller group if hands = less share available free float = good news that share price will rise fast on good signs.

It appears they bought and made swaps for shares, and appears that JP Morgan now owns 5%.
However can someone explain more of the technicals in the document, is this them getting stock back from shorts via swap positions?

My average is 780ish. So 7% down.
Which I'm happy with, as the potential upside is massive from here :)

Dogger69 are you completely blind to the situation in the market as a whole. Broadly all retail shares are down at the moment.
And the key thing to remember is that markets are cyclical, and this current downtrend will flip to uptrend once:
A) market conditions improve,
B) Ukraine war ends
C) Asos release more positive forward facing statement or forecast.

Asos share is link to more macro economic than micro.
But the strange good news, is that this affects everyone currently, only energy companies are doing well because they are fleecing the public.

At Dogger69, it must be difficult to be someone that no one loves.

Anyway, the idea that Asos will fold is utterly ridiculous, their own suppliers and vendors will be supporting them more than ever in the difficult times.
Also for some dumb people that don't understand business operations, Asos has cash in the bank and rolling credit facilities, ergo they have funds to get through these times.

Bad weather is here, youths need clothing, and Xmas sales on the horizon. Big payday for anyone but this share at this 10 year low.

I wonder if the shorts will be able to get out of this trade before the tide turns.
The city boys in NYC and London are rolling back into the office next week, and the word across the trading floors is go hard to buy everything is in sight to sit of for a few months when the autumn and winter retail sales are expected to be big.

People really don't understand the current fashion paradigm. The youths (12 to 35) value looking g cool and clothing over everything. Plus the good news is that age group always need new clothing as they literally grow.

Looking forward to the big payday on an easy but of prospecting.

Also I think people truly underestimate the sheer egoistic nature of consumer culture now days, which will ensure Asos has a steady stream of revenue.
People will buy clothing over alot of other disposable goods.

So very much looking forward to doubling my money by Xmas, with a very to tripling it :)
