When all of retailers reported that July and August were the worst months with massive cash burns, then you have to be logical and consider that happened to THG.

As such the figures they are reporting need revision, with cash in the bank potentially being a lot lower and debt increasing.

The report is only to end if June.
All other retailers are report bad July and August.
So wonder how much cash got burned in those months.....

The problem with THG is Matthew Moulding.
Having the CEO being the founder and still holding 25% is a terrible bottle neck to investors.
Shocked that the takeover offer got rejected because of that guys ego.

Lucky Asos don't face such an issue, and if/when the offer comes, it's up to share holders to force the BoD to take the bid.

We could be surprised.
Authentic Brands rushed to buy Reebok, they rushed to buy Ted Baker, and they rushed to buy Top Shop but were beat by ASOS.
They (ABG) own JC Penny, so have a strong us presence, and they have a strong range of brands (David Beckham, Prince, Reebok etc...).
So buying Asos provides brands ABG want, and a sales channel to move their IP and product through to increase revenues and profits.

The benefits to Asos is getting access to brands at better prices so they can compete with Fraser and Next.

Overall it's a win win acquisition.

Yeah, but the fact remains, while the share price is here, and offer of triple the MCAP is a fair bid.
As such the major holders and BoD need to justify why such an offer should be rejected.
Authentic Brands Group would be a perfect fit to Asos, and Asos would be a perfect fit to them.
This would also provide the market competition against Fraser Group and Next et Al that consumers need.

I vote for Authentic Brands Group to acquire Asos for £16 a share.

I'm hoping for Authentic Brands Group to put in an offer to acquire for around £1.6b.
