I did say "confirmation that the RNS which WOULD BE DUE HAS BEEN or WILL BE ISSUED, STRICTLY IN ACCORDANCE with FCA rules", which I think is pretty much enough to serve it's purpose.

HOWEVER, and I must admit to not being familiar with the ins and outs of Rules 2.4, 2.6, 2.7, 2.9 of the code, but I willingly bow down to your superior knowledge of the intricacies of these rules, but this was an announcement "IN RESPONSE TO SPECULATION"

RESPONSE TO SPECULATION

The Board of Wood notes recent speculation and confirms that it received an unsolicited, preliminary and conditional proposal from Dar Al-Handasah Consultants Shair and Partners Holdings Ltd ("Sidara"), regarding a possible cash offer to acquire the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Wood (the "Proposal").

Them and JP Morgan @MrExec - good timely spot. They are quite sizeable differences in deals between what's been bought and sold.

Indeed I did @James. I contacted FCA on their website, and pointed out the late issuance of the RNS of 8th May 2024, wherein WG acknowledged that they had received an offer from Sidara on 30th April together with price!!

The last post was an email to WG themselves-just to keep'em on their toes, that they are being watched, keep pressure up, and that any non-adherence to Rules has been brought to their and FCA attention, in advance, should they indeed delay any further RNS's

After re-read, probably could have worded the post a bit better, but I'm sure you get the gist 😘

You prompted me on this - so, after contacting FCA, here is copy email I have just sent to WG Investor Relations:

"Please find enclosed a copy of correspondence sent today to the FCA and copied to my MP.

I require you to answer whether or not you are currently in receipt of an offer from Sidara, and if so what is the offered price, together with confirmation that the RNS which would be due has been or will be Issued strictly in accordance with FCA rules"

Don't anybody hold breath, my only purpose is to put WG Investor relations on notice that their behaviour is strictly in accordance with FCA rules, and has been brought to their attention

Yeah, talk to me about it - I (unfortunately) held Petrofac and the major sell by Scroders took about 3months!

@Pat - my understanding is that if Sidara have made a firm offer to WG it would have to be RNS'd, so no I don't think any offer has yet been made, low ball or not

Tend to agree with you @Orange, wouldn't really make sense without knowing results of Deloitte. Don't know if they would be allowed 'preview' of report befor formally published?

It doesn't state their current holdings positions, it's a summary of dealings

@ Bearded - the summary of dealings is listed in Box 2, and there are clearly more SELLS than PURCHASES

The dealings are summarised in Box 2 Sales 683,011; Purchases 600,055= Net Sales increase

? ? "not longs being closed". By that you mean longs - 'selling'. So more sells than purchases?

From that RNS there were more Sales than Purchases, the arithmetic 683k Sales - 605k Purchases = net Sales increase

How do you work that one out @NMH21 ? - "More CFD shorts being closed"
