31st May completes the special dividend of �1.3 billion paid out in 2016 / 2017 and 2018. Whats happens next and when do we find out ? because without this special dividend there is only approa 5p.

Yes. it's not doing much, just moving along sideways. Should still get above 200p before 31st. Would really like to see 210p. Afrer ex divi day we will loose the 10p+ and be back down at this level. I have 30000 shares in ISA, might try and deal 10000 in the last few days before ex-divi day and buy those 10000 back after and reinvest any gain from lower SP into more TW shares (about 500 shares)

WorldGoRound You are so wrong. Investing is not just for rich people. But I suppose it depends on what you class as rich ? I have a share account and an share ISA account. In the ISA share account I have paid in �88280 (nothing this tax year yet). Currentley worth approx �130k, last year it recieved Dividends of �6202 and this tax year upto April 5th 2019 it will collect approx �8200 if I dont change any shares. By the 31st May i will of collected or passed ex-dividend dates for �5461 of dividends, by 13th july all those dividends will be in account and reinvested. I have already collected �599 of dividends between 6th and 12th April and that iis already reinvested and will earn more dividends this year. I do not consider mysleff as rich. I have done a forward projection and I hope with full ISA payments put in I should be on �16000+ dividends in 4 years. Do you understand how good compounding works ?

WOW i never expected that drop to 185p today. Makes my sell last week at 192.9p ok. I would of liked to have bought those 10,000 back today. Anyway ive just set a buy order at 185.6p but i can't see it going through this afternoon

lol how can they advise you when they know less. These days with computers / smartphones and Google we all have access to same free information. I spoke to a manager / adviser once back in 2012 when i opened a HSBC premier account with quite a lot of money. I wasn't interested at all in their investment ideas, all I wanted was the diy share investment which is what I opened.

TomE you only have shares in 2 companies ? I have about 12 a few crap ones like I mentioned earlier but majority of money in companies that aren't likely to go belly up. IE: GSK / HSBC / ITV / Lloyds / BT / Centrica / Barclays / Barratt / TW, all dividend payers.

TomE Be careful with pharmaceuticals on AIM, it is a complete gamble. There are lost of the cancer drugs development companies all trying to do a similar thing. I invested in Scancell (SCLP) some years ago, I was lucky i made a bit of moeny and got out. My friend wasn't so lucky he tied alot of money (�50k) up at an average of about 45p a share, the SCLP share price is currentley 12p. It was recently 19p but then the company announced another Subscription of �7.5 million of shares at 12p. That sent the price south to 12p.

Did you see how I managed to push the TW share price upto 195.1p first thing this morning just by selling mine yesterday at 192.9p. It works every time. Evertime I sell the price will rise. But I do still have 25,000 shares in my ISA.
