Interesting situation here. It could be pooling of votes before submitting by nominees, or inability as yet to actually vote as mentioned as corporate actions haven't been issued, or fence sitting awaiting M&G.
If the offeror wasn't from such a highly controlled country I would expect them to be starting to think about increasing their offer to kick start this, but is that possible without further permissions from their Government and convening another meeting of their S/H to sanction such an increased offer?
Just ramblings on my part but what do others think?

Still have a substantial amount if AAU shares, and you are right Capricorn. I just have to accept something I believe was a poor decision by the Board and look forward. May have said this before but for any share I hold there is a crucial question I was myself - if I didn't hold these shares at the moment would I want to buy them? If yes continue to hold, if not sell them. And I would definitely buy AAU despite what some here may think!

Good RNS, but again leaves me questioning the whole 'new' JV. 30,000 ounces over 8 years, 240,000 oz total. AAU share 56,400 oz compared to 120,000oz under the old JV, so 63,600 oz given up at a 'loss' of $1000+ per ounce at an operating level. Plus the loss of ounces from the greater Red Rabbit area which i haven't tried to evaluate. Plus the loss of half of Salinbas which MDV predicts as 'huge'. And what exactly does Ozaltin bring here at an operating/ exploration level?
Never understood the reasoning from day 1 nearly 2 years ago, never will I don't think. And as good news continues to flow in at an exploration level I feel more convinced that I was right to be cynical.

Does anyone think there will be any problem with the Mexican anti trust clearance condition? I ask because I suppose some here may hope they don't get it as the bid will presumably then collapse. The flip side of that is that it implies opposition to the Sonora development by the Mexican Government which could have, to say the least, a detrimental effect on the SP

How many PIs with their shares held in nominee accounts have been able to vote yet? I read here earlier that those with HL are now able to vote, but is that true of many others? As I have previously noted iWeb aren't planning to issue a corporate action for at least another week. I suspect many PIs are playing wait and see what happens. This seems a lousy way to make a bid

Personally wouldn't have thought so jam, with the current ZNWD SP a BCN SP of over 70p would be barely any discount on the full value of the bid, payment of which could still be several months away and subject to Mexican approval. Why would an investor pay that much?

I think some are taking this conspiracy theory a bit seriously now.
Arguably HL are taking a responsible position of interpreting this complex bid and conveying the worst (but very possible) scenario to their less well informed and savvy clients - for every investor on this board discussing the detail till the cows come home there are dozens of others who are fairly clueless. The possibility of being left as a minority shareholder in a private company with a majority shareholder who is not interested in profit only in usage of the product produced is very far from attractive as far as I am concerned.

I don't see any need to panic about this, in fact if the statement from the Board is to be believed the opposite is true, Everyone knows the Mexican Government were being pressured to protect their resources, so it was naïve to think nothing like this was going to happen. Given Sonora is, even now, effectively controlled by GF will the Mexican Government really choose to play hard ball with the Chinese? You could even say that, contrary to what many of us have been saying, the choice of partner in this venture may prove fortuitous.

Yes Foz, I sold Vectura in the market recently(ish) some time after an offer was made for the company, because so much time had elapsed and it didn't seem any other bid would then materialise. Think you can complete this story without my help......
