Problem is the annexed areas include the Kherson region through which river Dnipro flows and which is used by FXPO to ship iron ore to the port of Yuzhny for seaborne exports.

CleverThoughts..."Fxpo share holders have not be diluted or lost any shares as the claimant won against FPM not FXPO.". So where will the 40% come from? All things equal, if judgement was implemented then 100% could be worth 60% and oly way to do this is for FXPO to issue new shares so that the other party is compensated. However, imo it will not get to that, and if FXPO felt it could lose appeal to supreme court, it will enter negotiations and settle matter out of court where any value awarded would be lot lot less. We don't have access to details and hence difficult to make any guesses.

Latest move by Russia incorporating large parts of Ukraine into Russian territory significantly complicates matters; and proves yet again that Ukraine and Zelensky is completely mis-managing this conflict. It is now difficult to understand how parts of Ukraine can be part of Russia one moment and not part of Russia (part of Ukraine) at some time in the near future. With increased Russian mobilisation of 'regular' troops, it is difficult to imagine Ukraine stamping any authority on the final outcome; and outcome there will be cos the world cannot continue carry on in turmoil for much longer. US is ok with the strong dollar and energy self sufficiency, but other than that almost every country on earth is and will continue to pay a big price. I'm increasingly of the opinion that, for there to be a resolution to this war, either Putin or Zelensky have to leave power. Putin and Russia, in order to force Ukraine into submission, have sacrificed too much to take control of territory; whilst Zelensky misread and mis calculated Russian resolve for Ukraine, and in the process suffered huge losses and now find it difficult to step back and make concessions.

It's already well below bottom where the risk is over-factored in. The risk in question, the case if you like is very old and in the 'worst' case scenario will lead to some kind of a settlement, way below value awarded at appeal few days ago.

Most definitely an overeaction to the news which if anything should reflect positively on sp. POLY mgt merely trying to ensure all shareholders given right to exercise their vote. In doing so, POLY is also making sure they are legally safe in case of any litigation at some future date from shareholders not able to exercise their right in any decisions they make. The mgt have to be seen to be taking all reasonable care/steps in granting vote to all their shareholders.
Fall is sp is temporary, and the decision by POLY mgt is the correct one.

Fantastic company with superb prospects, but somehow it is never free from controversey of one sort or another; all emanating from Mr Zhevago (majority owner). I'm kicking myself after repeatedly warned to stay away from companies with individual dominant shareholders; very few of them ever deliver for shareholders. History is riddled with examples of such companies failing spectacularly...........

TwoCents...the burden of proof lies the other way. The fact that Ukraine have not furnished proof of mass scale destruction/abandonment of Russian equipment in a confined area of Russian retreat proves the withdrawal was orderly. Anyone would know that if they had more than twocents worth of a brain!

Havoc3852...I meant armour destroyed/abandoned on indutrial scale within a confined area vacated by Russia. We have not seen any images which supports that; in fact we have not had any independent verification of any claims made by Ukranian as of late...it has generally been on a say so.........

Think it's important people don't get carried away too much. Facts on the ground indicates the Russia carried out an orderly withdrawal instead of a hastily one. Russians were not bombed out of the parts they vacated, otherwise they would have left behind shed loads of unused and destroyed armour; withdrawal similar to the one made from outside Kyiv in March. Further, I don't believe Ukraine can win this war, and unfortunately, due to Zelensky fkup, the negotiated settlement will be on Russian terms.
Saying all that, I've always said FXPO is a gem and imo it will be over £2 by mid October, war or no war. I agree totally with 'most' of the points raised in the 3rd para of alex1978uk post.

The west shot itself when it imposed economic sanctions. Zeelnsky had a chance to avert war and he miscalculated; and once the war started, in March he had a chance of early cessation when Russia just demanded Ukraine to declare it will not join NATO and they would have retreated to the pre Feb boundaries/status, but Zeelnsky initially agreed but then had a visit from BOJO and changed his mind, and hence miscalculated again. Of course the situation have since become lot worse for Ukraine and Zelensky is putting his personal pride before welfare of Ukrainians in keeping this conflict going.
He should realise/recognise the sacrifices the world has made and is making for Ukraine and the suffering of his own people, and negotiate a way out of this crisis. Ukraine is not going to win this war. Russia has won both the hot war and the economic war, and sooner Zelensky recognises that the sooner we can get back to some kind of normality.

There is zero evidence Russia are losing. In fact, yesterday ITN correspondent said "Ukraine is claiming they have captured some settlements in Kherson region and pussed back Russians in DONBAS, but we cannot verify this".There is every chance Ukraine could be manipulating news to keep west on board; to show they are achieving something with all the modern armaments they're getting. The west and rest of the world are making huge sacrifices for UKraine eg. new energy bailout package in UK alone will cost in excess of £90bn, and so Ukraine is trying (lying) to say all is not in vein and they're giving Russians a thrashing, without furnishing any proof. Ukraine can only get away with this for so long!!!

No doubt FXPO is onto a winner going forward. I expect shipments to rise despite war when they next report in October, as the company becomes more savvy in navigating this crisis. Did they not say more than once that they were at an advanced stage in establishing alternate route to the sea to restore seabourne trade? Further, with tariff free access to EU countries, potential for Ukraine to gain EU membership in the near future all bodes well for FXPO. Also, I don't see Russians coming out as far west as Poltava and where the mines are.

Accept we no longer have an empire, no longer rule the world and in terminal economic decline relatively. And try not resort to rude language when you lose arguments.

Pariah state according to US UK is any state which does not fall into line and obedience with it's way of thinking like Russia, Iran, Venezuela, China etc. You can be a ruthless dictator but remain a friend as long as you do what you're told. If you rebel, then you're categorised as pariah. As a neutral/objective observer, one should be happy with a sigh of relief that US UK hegemony in global matters is coming to an end. It's like anything...it is never healthy when there's a monopolistic situation on anything.

Kherson counter-offensive is a red herring. Zelensky is trying to convince (defraud) the west and the world saying 'we can win this war, just give us more time'. There is not a cat in hells chance of that happening; Russia is too powerful and most certainly will not lose the war declared on a neighbouring country. Further, world is on it's knees and feels it has made enough sacrifices for Ukraine already. How long can that continue? Not long in my opinion.......

TwoCents...Mindcheck is correct in what he says. US UK and the so called 'Coaltion of the Willing' at the time sent Iraq back to stone age. They bombed most things including government buildings (which Russia have not done as Zelensky is still operating out of it in Kyiv). Only assets kept intact was the oil infrastructure cos they wanted to nick oil, which they did until they left Iraq. And bytheway, US still occupies part of Syria today and pumps out approx 1m barrels of oil each day to pay their costs, but we don't hear anything cos US is there on Gods orders!!!!!
I'm not justifying Russia actions; in fact I hate it but Ukraine could have avoided it altogether. I say again and again, Russian demands at the outset were not unreasonable but Zelensky ignored it and misread Russia, and poor Ukranians paid the price.

I think it's all a hoax. Ukraine knows that if there is no progress in pushing Russia back then the west (already getting very impatient) will no longer tolerate/support position of Ukraine continuing to fight, whilst the public in their billions worldwide suffer from high inflation and making ends meet. Ukraine is asking for patience from its sponsors in the west, cos they know it is getting shorter and shorter each day passes. Situation is becoming dire and will get even worse in coming weeks/months. Winter is coming, EU becoming impatient by the day with Zelensky, BOJO gone, Republicans gaining control of the House and Senate US in mid term elections etc etc does not bode well for Ukraine.
And a comment that winter will favour Ukraine is total nonsense; Russia is used to fighting in winter. It is easier to manouvre tanks and heavy armour on harder ground than softer one. Also, not to forget, it was the Russian winter that defeated the Nazis in WW2.
Anyway, even if Russia loses Kherson it will be no big deal as they're only holding it for bargaining purpose; but Russia will never cede Crimea and will only leave Donbas provided the region have autonomy from Ukraine.
Zelensky and Ukraine should (and should have sought) seek peace for the sake of people of Ukraine who are badly led and used as pawns.

rbrand...take no notice of Johnson. When strugging in power, he was using Ukraine to distract attention. Now he is using Ukraine to build his nest egg. Apparently he is the best loved forigner in Ukraine; so imagine when rebuilding of Ukraine starts, the western companies will be clamouring to recruit services of Boris to win contracts. He stands to make a lot of money on the back of plundering UK tax payers money on a war Ukraine cannot possibly win; but does he care?
