Refer to my prev post cos of shareholder action groups. Add Afren to the list of very disgruntled investors. Letters to the FCA and Fraud Squad ref the board stitching up shareholders in favour of bondholders, etc,etc................I'm not invested but very nearly rolled the dice up in the 150p area, current 3.5p ish!!!!

iis hold 76% of the shares outstanding with the bod's holdings of 13% leaves c 11% as free float or c 27m shares. Of course there may be iis under the 3% disclosure limit. How much stock is "loose" is difficult to estimate but id guess at probably 15-20% of the ff? So whether the new jobber has borrowed stock which seems likely (for a fee) and whether the volumes/turnover warrant another mm is a moot point? How may mm's make a mrkt in Zam? Difficult enough for the pi to make a turn let alone a jobber! Im bullish on Zam but I say that on every stock I own (3) and all underwater. So when I think I'm right, I'm wrong and when I think I'm wrong....im wrong. Too optimistic revolutionary? No I don't think so without hope we would never take a risk of any sort.

Agreed BadAdvice lots to like on the nos, the nav/good margin of safety, growth to pe circa 6x ( when above x1 considered under valued, growth rate of 20%+ and earnings yield as a % of sp is c30% and finally sales growth upwards of 20% ( sales per shr 0.48p) All solid and if you invest on the fundamentals (no other way) Zam ticks most of the boxes. They say the sp will revert to the correct valuation over time so lth should ignore the short term chatter (unless your avd) and look to better mos for 15/16.

but the odds are heavilly stacked against the private investor unless your extremely lucky or have the "sp" from the horses mouth? We have to contend with broker/analysts blatant self interest not to mention boards fethering their own nests at our expense. Against this background how are the ordinary pi supposed to make a rational informed judgement on a share? We have shorter gangs acting with impunity with only one motive that of tanking the sp of companies making a mockery of investing in shares and with the connivance of the regulators. No wonder the small investor (Sid) deserting the stock market as he gets squeezed and sees his investment turn to dust. In my opinion the stock market is no longer suitable for joe bloggs having to pit his wits against mrkt pros, corrupt bods, manipulators and questionable regulatory authorities. The market is so infested with shysters and charlatans often with iis backing that you truly risk your health and wealth. Regretably a slap on the wrist is usually the max one can expect and then months if not years after said offence. Shareholder action groups can be of help but how effective I don't know, QPP and AMI are two I know of and I hear GKP have a group starting. Lets hope Zam is so much under the radar that we attract lth of the stock (well a week at least). Winners on the market are very very few, I wonder why that is?

On the AIM Wild West casino. Sorry to hear you have had 4 bad years, as if its not hard enough trying to pick one stock that performs well you now have to try and recoup those monies making it 10x as hard. I know of someone who lost £100k in AMI (suspended) with virtually zero chance of ever seeing that resurrected and other horror stories to boot. Luckily though underwater on my last 3 st ocks ( I have been exiting the mrkt for last few years) nothing im losing sleep over! Good luck Comeonvog I hope your luck turns you only need one stock to multi bag to put you on the right side of the ledger. It can happen ........I know.

Probably stale bulls exiting from the last spike and concerns over upcoming h/yr report have pressured sells. Never wrong to take a profit while you can. My flush of enthusiasm soon dissipated as my first Zam trade soon went south leaving me out of the money, not that I am in the least sirprised. Many more sells than buys today seems the trend on lots of AIM stocks as investors flee the AIM casino. There have been too many highly dubious dealings among some of the o.....lies (in particular) that never seem to bother the regulators of AIM and which leaves investors extremely frustrated as the shares are manifestly manipulated by the mms for personal gain. Too many to list here but im sure your well aware of the cos subjected to short attacks and other skullduggery. I didn't mean to go off 'on one' but its been a bete noir of mine for ages. Gla JL.

Penrose granted 584.657 shares under SPO performance share plan excercisable on 3rd anniversary after grant. Three others joined in the fun. I wonder what share performance that was? None that ordinary holders rec'd that's for sure. The drop in rev this yr may have been impacted by currency movements so not as bad as I first thought, but still not UP!!

Some good points Bad advice and Zam ideally placed to benefit from any investment in the agri area particularly if copper suffers though thats a two edged sword as incomes fall. Im in for the long haul and intended purchase at around 12p has been used up elsewhere and top slicing in others is impossible, so like you am snookered at the moment. This is my first investment in Africa outside of Gold in SA (no Afican oilies/resources) hopefully i have chosen well though the choice is very limited outside oil & minerals so anyone looking to diversify ones portfolio Zam is an obvious choice. Comeonvog Mr Market must have been reading your post probably get in below 13p trouble is may be cheaper tomorrow? For a co that could make £7m this year a mrk cap of c £32m looks miserly. But its just a snapshot in time and re-rates on AIM stocks can be dramatic.

Well 8/1 sells v buys for starters not that the mms need any excuses to trash a share. I'd say it was pretty typical of your av AIM counter, even the non o....lies get hammered! Heh if your an avd kind of guy Mr Market has just done you a favour. With a co update due this month I would not be selling

It's the c'mon chance to win £4m every Sat for a small outlay, of course the odds are stacked agin you but are they not in all games of chance? Lots of minor prizes available I stopped doing the lottery in favour of the pools and won a couple of hundred last week so well in front from the off. Hi Bruce, its always the toughest decision to make particularly if the stock is performing okay.....ish and one does not have better uses for one's cash. I'm staying but not adding, I have been selling down for years as I was way too heavilly invested at time of Sportechs inception, last sale up in the 80's.I like our US expansion, we will grow at many multiples of current in the years ahead (with the right management) and if only US wages would grow our leisure sph would increase as well. Why the Pools have not become a worldwide phenomenon is a mystery to me, considering peoples obsession with football this game should be performing way better than it does especially as its so readilly accessible on the net. Yea ive got over my hissy fit but do have concerns about the running of the co and the need for new blood, but Ladbrokes cant find a CEO so we would probably struggle. Perhaps one of our US cousins could step up? Penrose has positioned the co well but I dont think he has the cohonnes to take SPO into ftse 250 territory. We have drifted on the back of the Pools division for too long and markets have been remarkably tolerant considering so little achieved and so long taken. Remedial action is needed and can only come from HG.

...time methinks to get a US listing perhaps OFEX will suit? With so much of the business now US focussed a move across the pond might play? Sell the pools business should get 10-15 x earnings so circa £150m and set up camp in America. Will it happen? Not a cat in hells chance. Too many well paid executives looking after no you know who and it ain't us!

Comeonvog, no worries I am done for a while unless Zam retraces to 12p well then I would buy more! Over the years I have become a dreadful cynic regarding stocks & shares having seen the market trash my finances and hopes in cos I considered to have excellent prospects! I am now amazed if a stock I buy either trends flat or God forbid rises im almost believing I have dropped a bolck! You know ive bought xyz stock how come its not dropping? Jeez I'll have to get a grip of myself metaphorically speaking! I used to be so bullish but the lifeblood has been drained over the years, there's only so much pain one can take. Gluck JL.

Ok Ive calmed down a bit.The impairment to goodwill to the carrying value of the pools skewed the figures. So adjusted profits pre tax at £14.4m (£14.5m) looked pretty good, but I go back to my long term concern the "top line" at £6.2m lower, I can't remember when this co reported increased revenues and now losing the California contract how much will the co have to make up for that disaster? How did we lose such a flagship contract? Was it on price? poor performance? I think we should be told and I won't mention Canada! I wonder if HG are ruing their decision to increase their stake in Sportech?

Losing the contract to take all bets across California is going to puch a hole on the bottom line! But no problems they can recover these losses easily, they know how to increase revenues don't they? Be surprised if the press are as forgiving as shareholders! Oh silly me Spo dont get any press on results day. Ive been in so long im not bothered anymore if the big shareholders can't/won't see the obvious problem why the hell should I worry?

Kinda what I expected another year of declining t/o one day somebody is going to wake up and realise that if you cannot grow your top line everything else suffers. Cant be bothered to comment on the other nos.Huge potential continually under performing, the stock will agree imo.
