I suppose with the amount of cash Roche has paying 8 or 28 for Sphere is immaterial they can afford to wait and see how Sphere progresses. I know if I was boss of Roche I'd have made a cheeky bid by now continued with P4 (+) to see if it could be a runner, if not, we'll saonara! If we were sitting at 50 they wouldn't adopt the 'wait and see' attitude that's for sure. Indifference and circumstance has driven us to this ridiculous level where are future is not in our hands as a) we have no leverage and b) Woodford & Co control Sphere. Plusses and minuses to that for sure. Many thought Woodford's envolvement would see the sp take off and by now we would be safely packaged up and sold to Roche, Siemens or others to develope. If you asked Dr Henry could he have imagined £60m being Spent on Sphere and being able to buy the Co 10 years later for half that, he'd have said never in a million years! I often wonder at this price if an MBO of sorts might be on the cards (present management excepted) to kick start some interest in the Co. I cannot see us being this cheap for very much longer and SVB might be the first to move.

Why hasn't somebody ( Roche) bought us out for peanuts, mothballed Proxima and left the way clear for the b/tops? Noone as far as we know is interested in P as a longterm investment so do what I suggest or use the sensor technology for other uses and be shot of the B/G business. Surely that's a win win situ? Just a silly thought I return to on a regular 6 monthly basis....

We finished up on the wk a whole 0.25 on volume of 588k over 19 bargains. From the recent low of 6.25 the shares have risen 24% so not too shabby though still way down on last years close. What little momentum there is its on an upward tack so I'm in agreement with Del that a rise is more likely than any further falls. If the bod want pis envolvement in the next cash raise they need the stock at a min of 10+ by the H/Y. How they get there without Co specific news I don't know, so expect the occasional good news leaks from HQ. Staying positive with so little to go on is difficult but I see no other choice other than to bale out and I have no intention of doing that!

3/4 following Agm have been sells so obviously Rencken had nothing of interest to report. Glad I stayed at home. Can't remember the last half decent Agm I attended, from memory it was probably Grand Met held at the Brewery vaults in the city where Watneys Red or Trumans beer flowed copiously. Those were the days even if the beer was ****! We needed a lift at the Agm so nothing to sustain us till Sept. As you say Del it's gonna be a slog trading the 7-8!
