Much as I hate to say it, based on recent experience at SXX, if the board of SOLO think they will get an offer that reflects future value they are dreaming.
They need to find a way to monetise via a joint venture or debt or they will go into a fire sale. Starting to look like a massive co*k up or they have been outmanoeuvred by someone smarter.

I really hope you're wrong Frank. I lost half my portfolio on SXX. Most of the rest is in AEX and SOLO . If they fail to deliver something by way of a return then it will wipe me out.

I thought you were meant to buy at the bottom - not sell ( 2 x 2.3m ) presumably losing a decent chunk of cash.

Voted NO to both propositions.
Loss at present £49,000 - which will be very difficult to recover.
I still think the best option is to defeat this takeover, keep the company in our hands and seek a better deal.
Hopefully some value can be regained if we succeed. If not the loss is what it is - I'd rather go down fighting than just hand it over. GLA LTH whichever way you vote. Hope to see some of you here again after 03/03.

acknowledge the good news, buys outweighing sales and resisting the temptation of using a few day trades and the chance to barrow the spread so we gain nothing off the back of it.
Oh hold on a minute we finally get some positive news, the price rises, a few day trades knock it back a bit and hey presto a spread of 10.75% ( half what we've often seen recently ) means we gain - nothing ! MM's make Ebenezer Scrooge look like Bill Gates, again. Maybe tomorrow ?
