RE: Bushveld Energy29 May 2020 08:54
I think the new website is a vast improvement on what was there’re before. Loads and loads of new info, I cannot believe that more hasn’t been made of Bushveld Energy’s achievements, there should have been far more made of it by the company to help support the share price. Obviously lots going on in the background. I found the following interesting.
Vametco Hybrid-Mini-Grid
The Vametco project is a first-of-a-kind commercial installation of a Mini-Hybrid solar and battery grid feeding directly into the Vametco Mine’s internal Network. It is unique in that it has been developed by independent investors and investment banks and is totally funded outside of the mine’s balance sheet. This project is a nett 1MW hybrid mini-grid with a 2.5MWp solar farm, feeding both the internal Network and the 1MW, 4MWh Vanadium Redox Flow Battery, which will also be charged from the Grid at night-time Off Peak rates. It can provide stable power to the internal network for up to 16 hours per day, thereby providing Load Shifting benefits and Peak Demand Reduction benefits, as well as stabilising the Power Quality of the Network and reducing Reactive Energy charges.
Why is this being developed by independent investors? The mine itself can easily afford this project. If someone is investing then the mine will be paying them back at some point. This should have been done in house. It doesn’t sound to me as if it is completely in shareholders interest. Does anyone else have a view?
