Niobium Imports To China
China imported around 1,820 tonnes of ferro-niobium in March, a drop of 43% from 3,200 tonnes over the corresponding period in March 2019, according to the latest official but unconfirmed data seen by Fastmarkets.

I think many mills have or will switch back. Vanadium has numerous advantages over Niobium and it was only price that caused some to switch.
I was quite sceptical with these calls of MM games until I heard this interview. There was a sudden rise for BMN over a few sessions in Jan 2017 and this interview was released around that time. Listen for yourself and make your own mind up if you think it is possible. The MM Cantor Fitzgerald are mentioned in this interview, although it sounds like some of the practises are common place. Listen from 22 mins in.

Even Australia with it’s huge coal reserves are inviting tenders for batteries.

VV, I noticed that as well. They had a 1.3 million dollar placement in Dec 19, a 1 million dollar placement in April and this 100,000 dollar placement this week.
We have been so lucky that we have FM buying Vametco for next to nothing.
Anyone looking for the coordinates they are in here. Also a lot of other info.

I think if Bushveld win a large contract then we will also see listing on JSE, of that I’m sure. I can see a bit of equity being issued to advance Vanchem upgrades and another phase of the electrolyte plant as it is only going to be initially 200mwh of the planned 1000.
Read this article regarding the amount of development bank money is going to climate initiatives with the majority going to renewable energy generation.
https://moderndiplomacy.eu/2020/08/06/mdbs-annual-climate-finance-passes-61-billion/
The full report is here. https://www.ebrd.com/documents/climate-finance/2019-joint-report-on-mdbs-climate-finance.pdf
So $61 billion from development banks, now add in private finance, utility companies, mini grids for industries, home storage systems, small batteries for telecoms etc etc

I’m not sure what has been happening but it has pretty much been Cantor Fitzgerald on the ask for the last few weeks flogging these. They are now on the bid looking for shares. I see this as pretty positive and a possible sign that the seller has indeed gone.
One of the two top stories on the main page says that Vanadium Pentoxide Imports were up 12 times also.

Yes Maltby, 10 million Euros. There was supposed to be other investors but looks like we have taken the majority ourselves for a vastly reduced amount saving over6 million euro.
Didn’t Fortune say in a recent interview that Bushveld don’t make batteries. So without the Enerox deal going through we only have a minority stake in Enerox and Invinity. Even if the Enerox deal goes through we are in a consortium and will likely not own more than 50%. It is likely however, that if a VRFB wins the deal we will be supplying the Vanadium.
Have I missed something?
