could you post your source?

Sorry to keep on at this... but it is a key point to my own calculations.... i thought it was the 6% that sold at 900usd/te.... so to compare apples you have to first say 5000×1.5/6 .... ive then gone for a low recovery (60%) which gets us down to the 800te for processing by the actual refinery.... the only point where my mistake can be is in applying 900usd/te to 6% grade when it should be to 100% grade....
I would appreciate someone enlightening me on this....

Listen.... im not saying we were robbed its worthless to us without a refined route to market..... i was only highlighting the crazy value this stuff has....even just a test sample.....

I was just musing there..... the bulk sample was sent at our cost and we expect no payment for it.... 5000te at say 1.5% and 60% recovery when getting to 6% for the refinery feedstock quality.... thats nearly 800te of sale grade commodity.... at 900usd/te that equates to over 700000usd..... i hope they buy us a nice gift next time we are in town....
Makes you think though.....

I dont expect the plant will be funded via a raise... dont even think there is an outside chance of that.... if there is a fund raise it will be in the short term to continue investigation of tenents and maybe to keep the the company cash flow positive before production.
Imho.... plant and other costs for getting the first location into production will be funded by a mixture of debt (source to be confirmed) and forward selling of commodity (see sirrius minerals for an example of where this has been done on a gargantuan scale).....
Any raise will be to make a clear distinction between sources and use of cash as required by accounting rules and more importantly lenders.... if someone loans you 15million for capital investment ... they want to see your cashflow projection the period of the loan to make sure the money isnt being frittered away on overheads...

Just my opinion of course....

N2S ..... the permit was awarded..... then rescinded on false grounds...... overturned by the Slovenian courts but then still requested additional information AFTER it had previously been issued only to have the new environment minister wade in and stop the process again the week Ascent had been assured it was being issued.....
The circus that this has become cannot be defended as due process .... at best its like a Harold Lloyd film without the laughs ..... at worse its a Punch and Judy show with GAZPROM behind the scenes working the puppets.... i would love to know the facts..... but the truth? Its been a joke.

Increased profits ..... some protection against the oligarchs sucking up a promising explorer once the hard work was done ..... and a hedge against a spike in commodity price...... all for only a few million in exposure.... less than 20% of whatthey will be paying for the product each year and guess what.... when they increase their exposure later on by forward purchasing the stock they will make more than their investment back just on share price jump.... so many reasons why they benefit from being in.... their capital is at risk...like ours... but they have more potential benefits for their level of risk..... imo...

Maybe the trading platform they use didnt offer for anything larger (the trades are pretty small though) maybe someone just likes to see a block of blue...

Its my guess that GEO will have done nicely out of this so far.... they will i guess have charged their manpower costs associated to the work to the JV and charged a handling fee (10 - 15percent) on any subcontracted work and rented equipment..... its the only way i can see how the project costs have escalated as they have...
I dont know this for a fact but i wonder if it could be confirmed (i.e. what value of invoices have been raised against Ascent by GEO and what proportion was for 3rd party services/equipment and what proportion was direct to GEOs expenses?

Horne..... i think it is all the deliverables required before funding....... that is what is needed for the shareprice to significantly increase. ... in saying that i would hope that each one (updated Jorc, EISA, Mining plan, Permit application submittal etc) will have some positive effect. After all ... each one is a brick in the wall that supports the funding route...

If im right we should only need to wait a month for the movement to start..... and the increases thereafter as each deliverable appears....

Horne/BiB... i dont agree with the conjecture that we are basing our positive posts of nothing... pure ramping.

This play is following a standard development route in terms of all the work being done but it is shaving about 2 years off the standard model.... all the project risks you get with junior miners moving from explorer to producer (including geopolitical) can be set out here and debunked at least to the stage where it is no longer a blind gamble. Not only that but within 2 months we may have every question answered and within 5 we may have every piece of paper we need to get over the line.....
One point i will agree on BiB is that i am waiting for our new Project Manager to revise the project schedule based upon his excellent understanding of the work to be done.... whether this brings the project forward a few months or pushes it out a few months we will see..... but im expecting/hoping this to be published in the next two months....
Really.... i see so many positives with this share and the risks are reducing daily....

James... imho news such as the cancelling of the nuclear project will catapult integrated energy storage into the government's fields of view (on the list of must do). They will realise that they can't build enough power stations and import enough gas to guarantee we always meet the peak requirements of the country (and achieve our CO2 targets).... they will then begin supporting rolling out of strategic storage hubs around the country which will make our generators all baseload and give breathing space to the renewables industry to supply higher proportions..... ( dont mock me but this will also give us time for the once sci-fi concept of fusion to commercialise over the next 20 years).
Anyway..... even without EVs exploding onto our streets im expecting a massive increase in lithium demand for batteries....

With Sino2 announcement earlier there is better support for this time... would be very disheartening below 0.8 again

No mention of this in a while.... has anyone heard anything? Surely there could be an update regarding this.....even if it was to say that it was piled up at the factory waiting to be processed...

If the collapse in the TSI price and the apparent lack of any development will give BA the opportunity to pick up other local tenents on the cheap..... anyone heard any rumours?

Reso.... im not arguing about the facts..... but less than 10% of the current company value is attributable to pre 2016 shares and loan notes issuing.... those guys were sadly the victims of a debt ridden explorer running out of cash flow when the money lenders turned risk averse......small consolation that at least they retained something.......

The situation now is very different.... for now the company is still debt free even before the last issue and part of me wants the legal route to be followed .... because i believe it will disprove those that attempt to deflect blame from the Slovenian authorities..... that is easy for me to say though.... i reduced my holding here by about 85% last March because i was fed up with the lack of permits and started to think that the Slovenians were stringing us along...... id lose the remainder if it meant the guilty parties were held to account but i know many people will not be in such a fortunate position.... so i wont wish it just yet

Well said Wizard.... some blame must be attributed to the board.... not all though....and the talk of 30p a share are completely irrelevant to 90% of shareholders today..... the effect of the credit crunch resulting in no access to finance before permits could even be applied for caused most of that... (btw Colin wasnt even here at that point). Anyone buying shares in 2016 .... not assessing this as a company with 2.2billion shares in issue made their own mistake..... there were many on this board at the time telling everyone to consider the notes as fully converted.... unfortunately this has resulted in disruptive posters like Reso using twisted facts to paint an even worse picture of board performance...... i find it more annoying because our situation is bad enough without such nonsense being spouted...

With a gold mine anything can happen....... but dont quote me on that.....
