It could be a tough time ahead. Standard Chartered are forecasting 40usd oil if global recession sets in.

I have told of my trading since July 2021 - along with others on here - the sp pullbacks were predicted before updates in Q1 - but we were shouted down by the experts on here.

Can tlw be compared to others when each situation is different. Pre lurgy we were smashed down from 200p plus to around the 60p-70p range. Since then we have had restructuring, cost saving, asset sales and higher oil prices and we are in the mid 40s. This is just a trade and trade again for me.

Why is the sentiment down, there must be a reason or two, could it be that the wider market can see what some on here refuse to.

The shorters are a relatively small group and they do not have an endless supply of shares to sell. The real issue here is the management.

The effect of inflation would lessen the debt in real terms - and if it wasn't for the hedges we would see this more clearly as TLW would have higher revenue. And because of inflation (and other factors) oil is costing more in usd.

The media tell us about the rising cost of living - but they are not saying that it is because the purchasing power of your usd /gbp etc is going down

The usd was backed by gold until RN took them off the GS in 1971. Which enabled them to print and create usd out of thin air. About 25% of all usd have been created in the last few years.
