I missed the trades on 26 March when JPM sold 1,500,413 . I have to assume that JPM purchased a similar number because there has been no subsequent rns indicating a reduction in their holding (voting rights). Next sell not til 9 May - as per last rns. I am in at the deep end trying to understand how banks can buy for ?clients without incurring the stamp duty - my previous post re GKN and also how DB and JPM plans make money and for what?

The scale of the placing was - in my view - more than the Funds could get cash to support. Most funds don't have large amounts of cash waiting for investment opportunities. I don't know whether the funding was part bank/ part funds - but �125ml with a trail of uncertainties was a big ask. I am naturally disappointed that my investment may have no residual value and question how there can be ongoing business simply because I would not wish to supply with no guarantee of payment. We have to wait and see.

In their letter they say: �The fate of GKN could well be decided by a group of predatory short-term investors who have no interest in the stainability of the business. �There are now reports that these same short-term funds will make this decision without paying stamp duty on their shares. At the very least, this appears to be against the spirit, if not the letter, of the law.�

Palmer & Harvey, CVR, Martins - do they still exist, McColls - surely stretched - Premier - Didn't Moran Leave there, Spa - all working on super slim margins. Add on living wage, Business rates - would you buy in to this? Some 20 years ago my garage ( Mots etc) stopped selling petrol. Why I said? Because I am a glorified tax collector for fuel duty, vat,paye etc.

If you find their product(s) appealing - why sell your holding since you still have these products. You have been swayed by broker sentiment at times - a first step - but DYOR. You seem to like retail - Saga in retail sector - but not a retailer. Debs, M & S etc. No broker can ever know what is up the line. Don't blame them.Consider why YOU did what you did! Why have DB & JPM have significant investments? My guess - not to lose money - but not for PI benefit either. Watch and learn.

I bought in at 16p a few years ago. Stuck in the doldrums because this offshoot of ? National Grid took longer than expected to sort things out. But I am surprised that there is little comment on this board. Company has a progressive dividend policy and trading is looking increasingly good. Look forward to June 5 and dividend disclosure

Rxdav Yes - I thought there was going to a small spike - watching the dealings in the early part of the day. Computer software kicks in - and back down again - just like the good Old Duke Of York. There will be a day of reckoning - how long - who knows.
