CW....noticed the expiry date 05/2021.... must have been produced sometime ago.... having a shelf life of 3years ....unless further along the line they found the shelf life could be extended.....

The government have been blind sided so many times during this pandemic....mostly of their own doing...

For this reason I believe the government wouldn’t consider pre-ordering SGN001 without it being available on the shelf and available prior to the Phase 3 trial read out...

RM has stated that the product would be available on the shelf prior and ready for a successful Phase 3 trial....I trust RM will keep to this timeline.....

IMO .....if the initial readout on Phase 3 is as expected the government will place a pre-order dependant on a successful peer review....

We have to keep in mind that the government will pre-order the AZN product because they know they can scale up if their trials are successful....

Whereas with Synairgen which is a pharmaceutical development company they have to ensure this is possible.....due to the fact Synairgen up to now will be entering new uncharted waters for them...

carsgeek.... I can agree with your logic with regard to SGN and it’s safety profile ...... it’s the wider scientific community that needs convincing....

By cutting corners to achieve an end goal would not be the answer.....

The real crime in all this is our removal from the recovery trial by Mr Valance..... unfortunately for us Synairgen were in no position before the placing to meet requirements if the trial was successful..... yes at this point the government could have helped.....

Phase 3 trials must take place first otherwise the scientific community would shine a dim light on our efficacy....

As an observation had COVID never reared its head and Synairgen were still going down the COPD first route would a placing have been required to carry out a full Phase 3 trial... I ask this question because I’m a post Manic Monday investor...

Yes I think we would have all preferred that the process for SGN had moved faster and perhaps yes more government support....

However, I expect SGN001 to go through all the necessary regulatory hoops that I expect any vaccine to go through before coming onto the market....

To demand that SGN001 be in widespread use now without due process would be foolhardy and I’m sure not a route that the founders of this therapeutic would condone....

The job will be done....but by the correct route....

The PPE fiasco goes back at lot further than this pandemic.....it involved BOTH major political parties ...
We had been led to believe that there we contingency plans in place some years ago.... numerous tabletop exercises, the stockpile of PPE that we were supposed to have had on hand ......
Unfortunately governments of of both parties transferred the keeping of this stock control to private contractors for a sum of about £20 million a year.....
Trouble was no one really believed a pandemic would happen on their watch....hence when it was needed they wasn’t even sure where it was located....
When they eventually found this mountain of cardboard boxes there was no telling what items were in them....no expiry date records kept....no stock control records whatsoever......not even a computer system in place.....absolute shambles....,
I know that the blame always stops with those at the top..... however, those lower down the chain ie top civil servants who would be responsible for the day to day management and running of these contracts should hold their heads in shame...
Hopefully all political parties will learn from this dreadful state of affairs and we maybe better prepared for any future pandemics.....
Let’s hope if they ever stockpile SGN001 they’ll do a better job of controlling this valuable commodity...

RM stated on his last proactive interview that the Phase 3 trials would take place across twenty countries....whatever goes on in this country the rest is being carried out by Pharmaxis......
