Considering the revenue that landed shortly after was £76k for the year, against the expected £5.9m, that post showed some nerve. And after selling shares aswell.

Here we are 2 years later and revenue projection is still only £4m. Clearly they have failed at the ‘fun’ part, execution. Explains lack of updates with a raise looming, clearly there is nothing material to talk about.

Sorry for LTH’s, feel there is more pain on the horizon before this gets better.

Fair point Nelson. It seems daft to moan about 100 baggers! But I know others have brought this matter up aswell. It is not to doubt these guys, but I wonder if strategy will change and seed £ upped more inline as a % with the increased mcap.

As the sector matures, projects might be valued higher at seed stage anyway, so would naturally move up. Happy holding in my ISA to see it play out over the long term either way. Just being greedy!

I'd like to see them up their seed stakes soon though.

I know we're in a bull market and they like to invest when it is raining, but the last handful of investments have been circa £200k. Even if those projects go ballistic and 100 bag (which a handful no doubt will with these guys) then £20m isn't going to move the needle for us at £200m+ mcap.

I have seen posts suggesting bids might be able to get a £5m CBILS loan.

To get one of these govt covid loans, I believe you can lend up to 25% of your turnover figure for 2019.

I know people will be desperate to starve off a dilatative raise but how realistic is it that the govt is going to lend £5m to a business that in 2019 turned over £170k? They might be eligible for something, but I don't think it is going to be a figure near even £500k, let alone £5m.

I’m not sure he’d have been able to hide in the bunker quite so easily if they’d gone down VC or another route. And certainly wouldn’t have been able to shave £600k off the pair of them by giving up 3% each of his received holding. I imagine probably quite happy with how things are going his end.

Hindsight is a great thing but this should have been put on the rubbish pile the minute they both sold. Mcap was probably 75m? Will it ever get anywhere near there again, with dilution hanging over the share for at least the next 2 years.

Hindsight also, the cloak and dagger strategy is imo because rumours and breadcrumbs are better for the share price than what the lay cards out on the table actual progress would do. This downgrade in revenue projections is confirmation of that in my mind.

2021 was supposed to be the year for IGA? £4m revenue and who knows what cost of sales figure says not. At least not for bidstack.

Bids have double the costs, double the staff of any competitors. Time will tell if that pays off. I know with whom it won't pay off though, LTH's who get diluted into oblivion while the space warms up.

Fair point bottmzup. I think Admix and Adverty are the only 2 other listed competitors, not sure what their forward guidance is.

I think bids are one of, if not the leading player in the space. And the space looks to have a rosey future, it benefits all stakeholders so I think it will gain traction.

But I have also realised that you can be too early in an investment. Hopefully everybody makes money on bids in the end. It is a gamble at the moment though, because of those missing details and lack of IR. Just my opinion, everybody pays their money and takes their chances. Win is massive if they pull it off, that has not changed.

I have been reading alot about DeFi recently though and do believe much more of the future world will be decentralised than is currently. Where that leaves intermediary platforms I am not sure, as the blockchain ultimately acts as the intermediary, doing away with the need of the 'middle man'. That is abit further into the future though, still plenty of time for bids to establish itself, if they execute.

Bottmzup, how is any investor supposed to make an informed decision without knowing these basics, ie at what point are they projected to breakeven and stop diluting LTH's. As I said, I don't mind dilution, companies list so they can raise money, the issue is the mcap isn't moving along with progress and LTH's have been stung once, and looking likely stung again unless bids pull a rabbit out of the hat.

All of your maybes are guessing and hoping. Why can't they just provide us with the reasons. And questioning that btw does not constitute forensic accounting, I'd say it was a pretty fair question.

70 page document and you could have fit the forward guidance on a postage stamp. Says it all.

They also didn't tell us how much of the £1.7m was from programmatic sales through the platform. This is what I am most interested in, because this is the part that is scalable.

And I am not bitter, just commenting on a share I know quite well. If you can't handle a viewpoint that isn't from cloud cuckoo land then just hit the block button old boy.

Bids model has always been to split the ad revenue roughly 3/4 game publisher and 1/4 goes to bids.

Tell me Bottmzup what you think happened in Q4 last year to that margin? I am at a loss myself and bids haven't explained it themselves.

It is quite important to investors because it is the difference between breaking even at approx. £25m revenue or at last years profit margin breakeven = £50m. The further away they are from breakeven, the more LTH's get diluted. You see where I am coming from? Stop this drivel about comparing to a manufacturer or retailer, nobody is doing that.

I don't mind dilution, if the mcap is progressing inline with the company progression. But evidently it isn't, because imo they have put zero emphasis on investor relations. It was the same as last year and I see the same mistake happening again this year. Why not talk about the esports partnerships they have? I see being tied up in NDA's with giants like EA, but that shouldn't be happening in a nascent market like esports.

Funny in your below message makes no comment on the profit margin % issue. Nor any other 'awkward' questions I put out there a few weeks ago. I don't think even bids themselves would describe they are making money at the moment. They didn't 'make' £1.7m last year. Cost of sales decimated their profit margin % the minute revenue ramped up in Nov/Dec last year. Net profit was £270k from that £1.7m I believe, without checking? So when revenue ramped up, profit margin % whittled down to low single digits, from the 28% profit margin that had remained consistent throughout the rest of the year and previous year. Why was that? Nobody knows, because they decided to not mention it in their 70 page report.

Cash burn of £600k per month and the above profit margin % issue are not scenarios that I would attribute to a company 'making money'.

5-6p still the bottom chancers. Upside could 20p+ in 6 months, seems a fair bet to me.

I think even if worst case scenario it is a crappy aim fund raise, if you can wait a month for the flippers to clear, it should move north from £20-£25m mcap. Lots sitting on the fence waiting, watching.

Best or worst case, I think there will be a scramble for shares at some point this year.

Confident of great returns here long term, Dot likely to go much higher this year, but interesting they are not upping their seed stake money. Would prefer to see this move a little more inline with the mcap also.

JD publicly congratulating Codemasters bodes very well indeed for bids prospects with EA imo.
