For my money MKS is the better short term investment, MKS trades at 100p today and OCDO 2000p I believe its quite likely that the former will be at 150p in late Sept/early Oct this year but OCDO less likely to be at 3000p by then. MKS gets my vote for a 50% short term gain. MKS to benefit more from the OCDO tie hence my timescale DYOR

chilting, the writing has been on the wall for the John Lewis group for a number of years IMO. In fact they lost their way much as MKS did 20 years ago. Both groups had a reputation for quality. MKS then went downmarket competing with the cheap end of the market, the JL group have done the same. But the saviour for MKS is food where they have maintained a reputation for quality even when competing on price. My local Waitrose store has become scruffy, and dirty with staff standing around talking to each other. I strongly believe MKS have turned the corner and will become synonymous with quality/value. Onward and upward. JJ

Can I make a suggestion, if we find ourselves with loads of money, lets make a donation to Cancer research, in the name of EUA investors. I for one have had prostate cancer, not clear either, but feel such a donation could make a wealth of difference to the lives of young and old alike. How about 1% of our gain/profit, some may even be able to set it against a tax bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JJ
