I'm wondering whether Gaydon may be shut down permanently and the St Athans site developed further, as there is a pool of skilled labour available, and almost certainly at lower cost. Being close to Cardiff airport, the M4, and it offers a good means of shipping in materials, and exporting cars. Its the sort of development that might make the market really sit up and take notice.

Eventually they may learn, but no guarantees. The best advice is to take profits, and take small losses, not everyone heeds the advice. On another bb I came in for some stick for admitting to taking a profit, which of course we are all here for. And where Vast is concerned accept the bod will do it their way, and take a bit longer to give the good news out. Patience this one will deliver a profit for those who bought this year IMHO

heardy, there appears to be a real sense of change for the good with NWG. When you look at the results of course you can see reasons to be gloomy but IMO they have handled a very challenging period well, and looked after staff and customers alike. Have you noticed that Alison is not only the spokesperson for her bank but is seen to speak for the banking sector. NWG could become the go to bank for a higher percentage of quality domestic personal and business customers. In 12 months from now NWG could have come in for a substantial upgrade. JJ

Bekind, local lockdowns are the latest thing. The Welsh appear to be handling the virus well, so I don't imagine the St Athan's plant will be caught out, so for me that's production sorted. If the footfall is not there then a problem is also there. The business relies on high turnover and this does not look like being resolved any time soon. We are seeing local lockdown measures, and talk that the incidence of this will increase. And the Winter period is going to make it worse. Yes a well run business but there are going to be a lot of shocks to impact the bottom line. DYOR

The outcome could be that EUA go it alone, the share price holds and we get a special div. Instead of fortunes being made overnight EUA becomes a top earner for the long term. JJ

Thebhoys, post lockdown the question for me is has society changed to such an extent that GRG has permanently lost a few million sales?Looking at office workers who have been working from home if in the future they go into the office 2/3 times a week then takeaway outlets will be hit hard. Right now could be the time to sit on cash pending a better view of what is the new normal. JJ

Mr fatprofits, JDW low in March @ 560p and today 845p compare with GRG before today a low this year of 1300p and today 1284p a new low. Perhaps people are keener to go for a cheap pint rather than a sticky bun, which is going to prove the better recovery stock??? JJ
