The government continues to utilise both polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and rapid testing via lateral flow device (LFD) tests. The majority of testing is now conducted by LFD tests. PCR testing is only advised in certain circumstances, typically in the NHS where there is direct access to a laboratory that can provide rapid results.

…maybe there is still a market for molecular tests then. Our Cov-19 POC is obviously way better suited in this kind of environment vs tradition PCR tests.

It’s worth bearing in mind that the cash last June 2021 was 2.6m and then 2 months later the placing was announced. I would estimate we have around 3.6m left at the moment based on 400 per month cash burn, however if they are thinking about submitting AIHL to the FDA and pursuing new development projects, a fundraise could well be coming sooner than expected.

It’s actually currently 12.5 to buy and 12 to sell, not the prices being advertised. They’ll drop it soon.

And the COV19-ID POC doesn’t appear to have any advantages over the much cheaper FlowFlex type antigen tests as far as I can see. Very similar sensitivity and specificity.

Hoping somebody can remind me of a crucial advantage that I’ve overlooked!

I think the Cov Poc would’ve been a fantastic and impressive product 1-2 years ago but from what I see now, the latest antigen tests are just as good and much cheaper.

AIHL seems to be an excellent product but time is needed before it could be quite lucrative (uk and Europe at least).

My family and I have covid at the moment, and have been using the FlowFlex test on mainland Europe and now back in the uk. It’s detecting whichever variant we have very accurately.

I’m not so clear about the advantages of the molecular Covid POC test now compared to a cheaper antigen test like the FlowFlex nasal swab. When you look at the details the FlowFlex has a sensitivity of 99.6% (97.7%-99.9%) 95% Confidence Intervals VS Genedrive’s 98.0% (95% CI 93.1 -99.5%).

And with specificity FlowFlex is 97.1% (83.8%-99.9%) 95% Confidence Intervals VS Genedrive’s 98.0% (95% CI 94.3 - 99.3%).

Genedrive POC has slightly better specificity but is less sensitive. The FlowFlex antigen test is only £2.50 each, and as there is no requirement to have a PCR confirmation anymore I can’t see why any company or organisation would choose to buy the covid POC over something like the FlowFlex anymore.

I bought 2 loads yesterday at 15p, all the 15p trades are buys I think. To sell it’s about 14.65.

All the 15p trades the past 2 days have been buys as far as I can tell. Sell price yesterday morning was actually 14.65 ish.

The way I see it is they are funded until next Spring/Summer but that won’t include new projects development costs. So many times over the past 10 years I’ve heard a company say they are fully funded and then along comes a placing for a new development project.

From Starres post earlier, Budd said “ securing commercial traction and initial revenues in the forthcoming months is necessary otherwise the Group will have to consider delaying further development spend” …forthcoming months doesn’t sound like many months, perhaps 6 months from the presentation.

Hopefully some nice big orders will come through for covid POC going into Autumn.

Consider delaying further development spend, and the options will surely be delay further development (potentially a short delay as they expect revenue to come in) or do a fundraise. If the company delays further development then what will the majority of the staff do?

We’ll just have to wait for the September/October update to find out how well they’ve been doing.

Budd said, I think in the last interview (May have been an RNS) that if sales don’t come from the covid POC test then they would need to stop further development on the stroke test. I don’t believe for one minute they will stop development when they could do a fundraise, so reading between the lines I’m half expecting a fundraise in the next couple months… hopefully there have been sales!

It depends how much dilution occurs in the meantime. The market cap at 200p with the current amount of shares will be very different if there are a couple of funding rounds.

I think it could drop lower this time, below 18 towards the lower bollanger band before we see a decent bounce.

I’m a bit nervous about fundraising at the moment to be honest. I know they have money but they did say that if POC sales don’t materialise then they would need to cease development of the new products.

They also said that they have their own predicted sales figures but weren’t going to disclose them to the market. Which sounds like they’re not the same as those forecast by the analyst.

So my gut feeling is to be cautious over the next couple of months. I’m thinking it’s probably 50/50 whether they’ll need a fundraise in order to continue development of the new products. Hopefully they’ll surprise us with fantastic sales.

GDR will fly up again very soon. There is solid support around 18/19. I’m expecting AIHL further rollout news anytime and confident there will be orders for the POC as we approach the end of summer. There’s bound to be a very significant and longer last covid wave this autumn having seen how big the summer wave has been.

ISO audits take a lot of preparation and organisation. Our company did one recently as we’ve expanded and grown globally. It’s very positive news to see them doing this.

They haven’t failed to deliver on AIHL or Covid POC. We await sells for POC in preparation for Autumn covid surge.
