Has anybody seen any AIM companies do a fundraise without a discount in the current economic climate? It’s possible but seems unlikely at the moment, but hopefully with all the positives around AIHL any discount could be smaller than we’ve seen in the past couple of years.

I think it makes good financial sense to be more nimble at the moment, when we know they could announce a discounted placing at any moment. I think we’ll see a strong rise once that’s out of the way though and of course regardless of a potential placing I expect to see the 30’s again by the end of March.

I think it was a technical support bounce, I can see it drifting down to that 24/25p area again over the next 1-2 weeks, before a rise again in March in anticipation of NICE publication.

‘Expected’ publication 30th March, highly likely it will before then imo.

The period after the consultation period gives NICE time to review any comments before final decision. Now if there aren’t any comments I see no reason why the final decision will not be announced sooner than March 31st.

Also as others have mentioned it’s quite possible NICE may announce something on Wednesday morning. We’ll soon find out.

Sounds like they will want to negotiate much lower costs whilst the guidance is under the conditional (gathering real world feedback) period. In which case I think we'll need more funding that.

Confirmation of what? The consultation period will end that's all, they will no longer be taking feedback. The next step will be to review the feedback and the resulting decision will be announced 31st March.

What do people think of this from the NICE documents? It rings a small alarm bell for me lol.

It sounds to me like they’re advising the NHS to ideally find a way not to pay the high upfront costs on the initial rollout of the test whilst it’s under conditional guidance (before the period of gathering more evidence)… how long do we expect the ‘gathering more evidence’ period to last? I’m guessing it could be the end of the year or early next year before the final decision is made that will decide whether the test will be adopted as standard procedure or not.

Yes but AIHL is clearly a breakthrough product, nothing they've created before has even been close to this. It'll be on the BBC news channel tonight.

Plenty of cash at the moment! It wouldn't surprise me if when they need to raise cash in a few months they will do so without the usual discount or even through a loan instead. The NICE recommendation pretty much guarantees a fantastic recurring revenue for Genedrive so they will have plenty more attractive ways to raise funds (if they need to later).

The market makers just seem to have been doing what they want with the share price recently, take it all the way up and then back down (despite a lot of buying). Could be forward selling a placing, or perhaps just a genuine volatile market fuelled by excitement, anticipation and impatience.

Great things to come here over the coming weeks and months :)

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they announce a placing. Would be good to get it out of the way before all the upcoming news and publicity.
