RE: Hold for gold9 Feb 2025 10:07
Lee, you and a few other long term holders here plus 1 or two ex CNR holders are frankly a bastion of common sense standing head an shoulders above the cheap comments and sniping we have seen since the take over. MTL has been an amazing journey (as was AAZ to a lessor extent) But its thanks to the sensible people on this forum that I stayed in and have and will continue to reap the rewards
As a holder of MTL since 2019 I have been so lucky to see my original investment grow multiple times. I did hold 3.5 m shares up until this summer. I bought and sold as best I could and have made some tasty littie chunks along the way
I now hold just over 1.5m. I sold late summer primarily because I'm reaching 70 and want to kick back a little. I stopped motorcycle racing (google jim dalton racer) this year on a high on the small bikes now (106mph 50cc honda) and I'm enjoying the amazing success that has been MTL since
For example: I have withdrawn my original investment and then with my profits (and i bought the followin with only profits) I bought a lovely nearly new 7.5 mtr Motorhome, plus a second hand 4x4 late model transit van (rare as hens teeth) I just love a great van. and another brand new motorcycle.to go on the back of the mho A brand new kitchen and I'm having modifications done to our narrowboat.
Currently, Im writing this from the Moho in Jerez we have been touring France Spain and Portugal since before xmas and are coming back in late April for the race season (i'm sponsoring a rider in the F400 class with my MTL money again)
I'm hanging on to my 1.5m shares (I did jump in the other day when it dropped and I did benefit from buying CNR on news of the deal) as its clear the MTL will be going places and if the management team stays consistent then I want to enjoy that venture and keep enjoying this board, which up to the CNR take over was 90% sensible and practicle in its comments
So a genuine thanks to all the LTH's who have kept me ( a lightweight investor) in the game with sensible posts, We are all here to see MTL prosper, so lets hope that thing return to normal soon. keep up the good work
