In a similar position to you Roy (but a much smaller amount). If it goes tits up, it will sting but at least I have pensions to keep me fed.

So I shall wait (not sure I want to top up risk wise at the moment but i'm tempted)

I currently have 1.6 mil at an ave .067 I will sit on my hands and will keep the faith.

I'm also lucky to have the option of one last career if I need it: - being an involuntary floor stainer in an old peoples home :-)

I'm into MTL for just £10k presently @ 0.6755 on average. Happy to take my overall stake out at some stage and leave the rest to simmer; as this was always part of a small but absolute gamble, along with AAZ and Tomco.

AAZ and tomco may achieve that for me yet as i'm 1/4 of the way to that target across all three.

Assuming (but not counting chickens) that we will have success with this share. what is the realistic potential of it. I cannot gauge it.

I keep hearing the previous number of 5p (that would be great for me as i'm in at an average of 0.67p), but is that a realistic option?
Could it go further? Im sure any share could; but I mean realistically does it have a limit?
I assume it will take a long time to get to say 5p as people take their profits but when do you actually sell on something like this

at the end of the day could this be as good as AAZ?

Or is that fantasy land

Hope I'm not being stupid but I topped up again this morning, now in for 1.5m shares

Am I correct in thinking that the standstill until almost the end of June is significant; in that we will be on the edge of Q2. Therefore there will be a lot more internal information to feed the lenders.

If MTL are consistent, we wont see a Q2 report until mid July but the company and the banks will surely have a clear picture by the 28th.

So the response to lending terms at that date will be the most significant we have seen so far.

Unfortunately I'm away from mid June until the end in Bulgaria in a little remote village in the mountains having a great time with the locals

So I'm going to keep everything crossed and hope that when I sober up the picture is an even better one

as for MTL :_ the way I see it; the stall is set and now we just have to wait for Darren and his team to do the business

Actually this difference between management is what attracted me to MTL Lee. I'm a great believer in the "right person to lead at the right time" at different phases of a business

ie someone might be really great at starting up a new exciting business/idea. But most times they are not as good at day to day running and should hand over to a boring person who is. equally when a business is in trouble that boring person day to day/exciting start upper person needs to change to someone who can handle difficult situations and get the best out of it.

Something I learnt when I had a previous career working in senior management in Casino's and observing the machinations of other companies and the clowns in ours. Nowadays I am more than semi retired, living on the canals and drive trucks occasionally whenever I need to get away from the missus and have some me time. :-)

So I had been looking for stocks that were showing just that (ie I like gambling when the odds are in leaning my favour).

DB's positioning into the company at the right time and his track record and more importantly "integrity" attracted me to MTL and I hope (my bones say ) I've made the right decision.

Many thanks tho for your helpful replies to my posts and for all the helpful comments on this board, It has also been very useful to read so many sensible comments from everybody and has helped me build a picture of how I want to proceed

I'm in for the long term

Thinking about those that have a lot of shares, I currently have only 1.36 million of them (but that's more than enough for me). How do you go about disposing of them when the time comes?

Ie: the EMS is listed at 20,000 I assume I would have problems dumping them all at once. (tbh I'm going for a longer ride tho). and that I would have to sell in tranches of 20k

But I notice from comments some of the investors here are in for a lot higher holdings than that.

Do we end up watching a bouncing price as people just dump large numbers of stock as in what has been happening with ruffers.

So is there an efficient way of selling (when that time comes) say 20k share tranches multiple times during a trading session or 20k each day or is there a safe multiple of the EMS to go for?

Must say what a lovely surprise after my poets day to come back from a lovely afternoon in the pub and see that rise!! :-)

As a Newby to share dealing Ive got to say when I received that email from the Halifax today (even though I knew Cannacord were on the way out), I made my heart flutter and brought a bit of dampness too my forehead.

I've got just under 800,000 shares so far and whilst ive enjoyed the ride, i'm hoping the posts on here about the future are correct. I always bought as a gamble tho and i'm showing approx. down circa £2k but ok with that bet still

I was going to buy some more but I always think if it makes you feel uncomfortable, then don't and for some reason it does.

Heres hoping for a good future for MTL and please keep posting guys. Very good info (without drifting into other subjects) It's keeping me calm :-)
