Well clients are looking for more than just a supply chain, or "LED lights" they want the projects done satisfactorily with good lifespan and of course at as lower cost as possible. It's not just one component it's a group of components, integration know-how with good project management and delivery.
So yes I think the reasons I first invested are here and the reasons I topped up at what turned out to be a pretty dim time are there.
As for the BOD having a proven track record I can spin that around and suggest that the board whenever you invested Thomas was good enough then. Hindsight is marvellous - the company royally f'd-up and suddenly it's obvious the board doesn't have the skills or talent.
"Proven track record" is such a fm perspective, yes admit I'm speaking (partly) from bitter experience but the idea that you should only back someone who's proven themselves I find a very limiting and somewhat flawed perspective. Partly because you end up overlooking those with a real hunger to succeed in order to back those who already have, and partly because many who had a successful run as CEO even themselves would admit a large amount of luck played its part. Right market right time right product. That kind of thing. Investors come along expecting CEO to reproduce results in another company and often come to regret putting their faith in one person rather than a well-functioning top team.
