George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
There should be RNS’s in these areas soon from the research conducted on this board and RNS’s released to date:
Qualcomm/SEE OEM
Licensing Deal with L3 (CandyBar)
Finalised Aviation RFQ’s (Mil/Civil)
GM Super Cruise Expansion
Ford Active Drive Assist Expansion
Veoneer OEM Win (Competing for 10 further OEMs to the 2 already won!)
Porsche Win
Jaguar Win
Japanese OEM Win
Anyone think of anything else?
I’m sure this page has been pasted before but I thought two lines stood out. Firstly, this sounds like the last granted SEE patent.
“This system monitors both the driver in the driver’s seat, continuously detecting whether he or she is able to take responsibility for driving, as well as the traffic situation in front of the vehicle.”
Secondly, Continental will be ready to sell this system in 2021... I wonder if they have any takers yet?!
“At the later point, the “Road AND Driver” camera from Continental will already be on the market, with the start of series production planned for 2021.”

Quick question, if Veoneer are saying they have 9 OEMs interested in their DMS proposition, and we expect one of those is ford, are we then saying that 8 new OEMs are looking at installing SEE tech, or are some of the other 5 OEMs we already have included in that number?
Great finds Terry. Do you think it’s beyond the realms of possibility that P and J ended up in a LATAM post because we are now in contract with them? It seems a bit overly confident to infer they are customers if this is not the case.
Great find DR777. Combined with the ‘slip’ this does some what increase the chance of SEE being in Porsche and, by association, VW. When announced, if this doesn’t proclaim SEE as the lead DMS provider then nothing will.
“We have the best technology on the market and our company is globally recognized. Brands like Porche, Jaguar or Caterpillar, among many others, trust us.”

This is sort of how the next few years are shaping up, which is pretty solid considering we’re only half way through 2020. A ? denotes a GM model getting Super Cruise that has yet to be announced.

All this has to go somewhere.
I also read somewhere that Bosch was hoping to go into production in 2022. Might tie in with VW.

Just found this.
Would be nice to get some clarity!!!

Hopefully SEE is part of the glue between these two.
“Working with Qualcomm Technologies, DENSO aims to develop an architecture*3 for systems based on DENSO’s Harmony Core™*4 integrated ****pit system that can coordinate with external cloud services and new HMI products, which enables car connectivity and advanced safety features like driver status monitoring, driver and passenger authentication, and improved display operability.”

“we've known that Highway Teammate was coming since it was announced at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.“
“when this system hits the road next year.“
The timing is very similar to the S-Class. Just saying.

Thanks terrym, very interesting post. As much as I would like a quick SP re-rate, this is probably only going to happen when something innovative is announced (e.g. mass market adoption of SEE tech in a games console etc.), forecast earnings for the year ahead leap, licensing deal/s of decent value are announced, SEE starts name-dropping, etc. I believe, like the Merc HUD, lots of opportunity lies ahead for SEE which is why I’m expecting to be invested here for 5 years.
KK confirmed this on LinkedIn when he referenced “eye-tracking based head-up-display”. As this system was apparently proposed to Merc back in 2016, it makes you wonder what else SEE have been working on in the last 4 years.
In terms of technological superiority, it is highly likely that SEE has swept the board with the semi-autonomous systems being installed by GM, Ford, BMW and Mercedes (and Honda through GM). Bearing in mind Lexus and Volvo are touting similar systems, is there any chance that any of SEE’s competitors were in a similar position to develop such systems back in 2016 or 2017? If there were, they obviously weren’t good enough to win GM, Ford, Mercedes or BMW... just a thought, and of course there is the potential they were developed in house.
For what they’re worth, my best guesses on revenues and cash:
Auto A$15mil (including A$8mil upfront licensing payment)
Fleet/Offroad A$27.5mil (total installations between 23,000 and 23,500)
Negligible from Aviation and Scientific Advancements
Total Revenue A$42.5mil
Leaving A$37mil Cash
