Thanks for sharing TLS, excellent discovery. Looks as thought it’s semi-autonomous system is going to be called ID Pilot.
“This could possibly include an autonomous drive mode called ID. Pilot. This relies on laser scanners and sensors that allow the concept to drive itself in traffic. Other key safety features most likely to be included are: standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and available adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode.”

In my opinion, PM would not be ‘liking’ ID3 related posts if it did not contain SEE tech.

So the evidence points to SEE having bagged primacy in another semi-autonomous system. To accompany:
GM
Ford
FCA
BMW
Mercedes
Byton
+ probably others.
Hopefully PM’s “comfortable” with well over 30% of the market...
Is it fair to say that PM doesn’t stray too far from the beaten track when it comes to his social media ‘likes’? I don’t believe he does. I can’t recollect him ever ‘liking’ a car with competition tech in.
The previous 3 posts go some way to suggesting SEE are in the ID3. Exciting times ahead.
PM has liked this Cerence Inc post regarding the ID3.

I’m with you terrym - It’s the legs of the stool the company hasn’t disclosed yet which intrigue me the most. 5 billion km of naturalistic data has got to be useful to someone outside of the transport sector.
PM has liked this... please mean something!
“After a one-year hiatus, the Volkswagen Group is once again the most innovative car manufacturer in vehicle networking, automated driving and infotainment/operation.”

There’s plenty of scope for SEE to get involved in gaming... especially as SEE is apparently now a Human Machine Interface technology company.
“Dr Shell agrees: “We haven’t really passed VR 1.0 yet; untethered usage is either unreliable or extremely expensive. We’re moving towards version 2.0 with eye tracking, larger fields of view, higher resolutions, better audio, and six degrees of freedom, but these areas still need to be investigated further.”

Looks as though the M-Byte has a good chance of getting to production.
“Update 11 September 2020: As suggested above, Byton has indeed reconciled and took up trading again, now as Shengteng.”

Like I said, not an exact science but hopefully enough for a steer.
For comparison - 16,000 Units / 4,550,000 km/day (June 2019 Trend Line) X 6,100,000 (June 2020 Trend Line) = 21,450 (we know there were 23,415 units installed at this point)
23,415 Units / 6,100,000 (June 2020 Trend Line) X 6,550,000 (September 2020 Trend Line) = 25,142 (if you add the correction of 1,965 units then that gives 27,107... bit too high in my opinion)
Therefore, I slightly rounded up the installations through July and August to get 25,415. In other words, a 1000 unit/month rate of installation.
Hope that helps.
Thank you for sharing your data analysis Whatif18. The current September figures are looking really positive. I appreciate it’s not an exact science but I’d go so far as to say that SEE could be adding circa 1000 units per month at the moment!?
Paul’s pleased, as am I.
