All new homes and offices will feature electric car chargers under new laws designed to address fears over a shortage of plug-in points.

As the UK prepares to host the COP26 climate summit this November, government is working with industry to provide the tools and practical advice drivers need to go electric.

A free app called EV8 Switch – backed by £2.7 million of UK Space Agency funding – launches today. It calculates how much money UK drivers could save by switching to an EV compared to their current petrol or diesel vehicle, along with details on the carbon dioxide (CO2) savings and air quality improvements they could achieve.

Just a note, BYD produce their own chips no wonder sales are up 300% in August.

Similar thoughts here EV_Bull but expect Ganfeng alone to be $65m or £50M if they can get away with it - and hope we know before end of October, I know some will be disappointed but that leaves most here with a free ride on the other assets.

Added 87,377 recently from 17p to 29.3p but still averaging below 15p overall with a decent chunk below 5.5p added when things looked pretty grim (to some)

My expectation are the soaring EV market will get a big nudge from COP26 and of course storage also.

Switched my Nickel investments this week after seeing the BYD blade battery is Nickel and Cobalt free just battery metals for me for the forseeable, well six months at least.

I'm not sure that many share my enthusiasm for impact the BYD blade battery will have but it's mad a few battery concerns redundant - Nickel and Coblat free - cheaper doesn't combust -

Bosses from Amazon-backed US carmaker Rivian are flying into the UK next week to visit a potential site for a giant electric car factory, sources have told the West of England mayor's office.
