RE: Derampers welcomed BUT29 Sep 2020 00:32
Thirdman,
I'm no Deramper, but I do as a shareholder of a few K shares have a serious question.
That question is this:
If at the end of the day GGP decide to sell off the Haverion asset to Newcrest, and by my own reckoning along with thoughts of other contributors on this BB what then?
1. GGP issue a special dividend to shareholders versus GGP saying thanks NC, we can use that cash to not only further exploration expenses for our assets and maybe build a mine sometime in the future, of which of course that in itself will then always present a risk to shareholders, in that our future assets may not be as good as Haverion etc.
Where would that take us too?
2. Lets not forget GGP are under no obligation whatsoever to offer a special dividend, and given the sale of an asset ,ie Haverion, are not required to put the matter to a vote .
3. Will GGP do as they think fit?, ie in their opinion, any cash from a sale will be deemed necessary to further future investment plans and and will not require shareholder ratification?
I hope you see the point I am making, that is not to say of course that this will hold the SP back it won't for now , but it may in the long term unless we retain a 25% interest in Haverion come what may.
