The MM's dont care a jot about anything other than 'Liquidity' and taking their fee. If your perception is that the market might sell down tomorrow and you do, then sure we will see a drop.

On the other hand if you believe Scally and further GDXJ investment offer a positive counterbalance plus a revised MRE at the end of Jan then you may well buy tomorrow and so it goes on. and on.

For me I will hold and subject to cash availability will buy more when the opportunity arises.

GGP is without doubt a long term investment just keep that in mind and forget all the Carp about Market Makers as they only react to what you do and backroom orders or sales.

How can it be priced in if the special dividend has to be voted on by shareholders?

As previously announced, Tesco intends to return c. £5 billion of the net proceeds to shareholders via a special dividend, together with a share consolidation, and will also make a significant pension contribution of £2.5 billion to the Tesco PLC Pension Scheme shortly following completion. The special dividend is expected to be paid on or around 26 February 2021, conditional on obtaining shareholder approval at a general meeting which is expected to be held on or around 11 February 2021 (the "General Meeting").

A circular containing further details of the special dividend and share consolidation, as well as a notice convening the General Meeting and further details about the resolutions to be considered at the General Meeting, will be sent to Tesco shareholders on or around 25 January 2021.

How many 2.9 's have been issued since 01st July?

The TO code requires a 2.9 it would seem irrespective of a change re placings etc, maybe EUA are just catching up to comply :O)

So, given that the number of shares in issue has now changed, ........EUA have issued an updated 2.9 announcement as the number of shares now in issue are 2,758,701,681 as stated in today’s RNS.
