It is unusual for an exclusivity period to be open ended. My guess is that this one is either for 30 or 60 days. No more. Therefore I stand by what I have just said: Namely...that tomorrow or Monday represents the close of the period if it is 30 days. Otherwise it will be week 3 of February. No time span was specified on the RNS for sure...but that is the typical PVR approach of telling the shareholders as little as possible to cover their own arses in case they make a balls of things.

Well...time will tell. I take your point 1cag. But 30 days is typical for this kind of situation. It is par for the course for PVR to be as opaque as possible in their investor communications. I also feel that if Tony drops the ball on this one he will get shafted afterwards by the rest of the board and will have to do the walk of shame out of the building. Interesting times ahead, and hopefully profitable ones for the long suffering shareholders.

I agree with that mbev. A month seems about right. In view of statement that key commercial terms being agreed in principle blah blah blah (as stated in the RNS). The RNS alluded to the fact that the exclusivity agreement had been agreed "earlier in the month of December")....so presumably that could mean W/E 22nd , prior to Christmas shutdown. So logically speaking the deal should be consummated and signed off by this coming Monday 22 January 2018. It would be nice to see the company meet a promised deadline on schedule....

Shares not exactly flyin off the shelves this morning so far.

Cheers guys....Gone a wee bit sluggish today on the buy side. Hope it bucks up a bit in the afternoon session, both here and over at LOGP. Hope our negotiations are proceeding to a fairly rapid and successful outcome.

IF the current farminee candidate, with whom PVR/ LOGP have an exclusivity agreement....decides to go further and sign on the dotted line....then the expectation is that the deal will be done within 30 to 60 days of mid December 2017. In other words between now and about mid Feb. See the RNS dated 28 Dec 2017. I don't have a crystal ball; that's just my best guesstimate.

Tir. Can't find that item on the Examiner website. Is it an older item or should it be in today's? Ref Barry appraisal - PVR gave a window of 2h 2018 to 2h 2019 as guidance. So depending on farminee it could well be this year. Everybody is hoping it will be!

Tir....hard to keep up with everything that's happening (or not happening). I thought that Nexen were planning a drill in the Atlantic this year?

If they get a free carry through to development and production + reimbursement of previous costs....then they have plenty of cash to go for Spanish Point which is a proven resource and they can twist Cairns arm to put this back on the agenda. An entirely credible scenario imo.
