Totally agree I find it easier to hold with a loss than a profit, but currently breaking that trend with PFC.
I'm in with ITV too but my average is a few pence above what is now. Hoping they buy C4 there, that would be a game changer.
I've got my average down here on one tranche to 75, but the other tranche in my isa is 86 and can't do anything about it, my 2 main holdings in that ISA are both about 20% down, so frustrating used my full allowance. So nearly sold those at a loss for 83 last week to buy PFC but then it fell again.
I think that if there wasn't a sell off due to rising yields on Monday, CINE would have had a different week.

Between this and that B---y microfocus, I am about 35k down on the pair, not expecting anything positive from either until November.

Ditto on pretty much everything you said, thanks for that because sometimes reading others are in the same boat sort of shares the discomfort of it.
Defo no rebound from the weeks sell off for CINE so my guess is the court case.
The europhoria for Bond being released was short lived last week, hopefully decent numbers this weekend will stop the rot.
You never know could have one of those 10% lottery win rises on Monday!!

That was on the first vaccine news last November which acted as a catalyst for the 3 month rally until March when the Delta variant became a concern.

For people currently underwater I fear we're going back down despite good films / bond takings etc.
Last timecin July when 70 was broken, the floodgates opened for weeks.
I fear More of the same again, wish I had soldcwhen it spike in the 80s pre bond.
This is such a depressing investment when you always down, it sucks.

The only thing that I can think of that caused us to have a good run leading up to Bond was Bond!!
Looking accross other travel and leisure stocks they seem to fairing quite well today.
So despite the spike last week to early 80s again and excellent initial figures from last weekend, nothing seems to have prevented this slide back to those previous levels.
Does anyone have any ideas about the rise and fall ( and please not Pawel because you've only been here about 4 days and you're only trying to scaremonger people with every post )

This needs to keep its head above 70, last time we lost 70 in July we 3 months of turmoil, please stay above 70!!

Not even worth it for dividends at the expense of so much capital, its pathetic for a ftse 100 company.

What gets me is how there were sell offs on the Dow and Nas due to rising bond yields on Monday and Wednesday this week, which in turn causes UK stocks to sell off, as we all know CINE always seems to get special treatment, and then the Ftse, dow and nas all rebounded hard yesterday, and even Tuesday to some extent, but we remain languishing just above 70 when we're nearer to 80 beginning of the week.
It's the same with various other UK stocks, no rebound whereas the main indexes all seem to have regained ground lost on those 2 days.
Why I keep asking myself, either shorters taking full advantage when markets are very weak, the court case ( possibly it suits CINE to have a low SP at this time), it just doesn't add up after the ground we had gained. So naffed off with this.

Nah, not feeling it today, got all the makings of a sideways downwards day, but on the bright side, Bond is out in the US.

What I don't get is how uk stocks get sokd off when the yanks have meltdown, but when they rebound hard like today, we don't!!
Hopefully trading update will put a stop to these games.

Must be the bloomberg report from the Iceland CEO talking about potential cost of power and 20 million electricity bill etc etc.

I was feeling all smug with myself because over the last 2 weeks I had taken some profit and had a fair bit of powder for a sell off, and then managed spend it all yesterday and everyone I bought retraced further until 4 15 today, where I'm even on a few from yesterday.
Still, I'm happy with my MARS purchase at 73 today and the 74 yesterday, but my overall average is still around 76 so really worried.
As someone else pointed out, the board had good reason to decline the 105 earlier in the year, so getting in at these levels seems a no brained

I wont give up , just bought anotger 10k, funny how the MMs are giving us all 15 minutes of bounce today, the last 15 mins trading!!

What I don't get at all, and always seems to happen, you get 2 really bad sell off days Mon and Wed caused by rising bond yields in the US, nasdaq sell off spills over everywhere, and then the frse, dow and nas all recovered generally Tues and today, but the UK stocks especially travel and leisure banded ones never seem to recover.

Just doesn't add up really, gets sold off yesterday with everything else, 5% drop, then today Ftse, dow, nas all recovering but sell off continues, same with a bunch of other UK shares, they get sold off price wise but never seem to bounce.
Everytime I top up anything after a bad few days, they go down further. Give up!!
