What is don't get is how everything is open yet travel and leisure stocks have been pounded, and their share prices seem to have performed much better when everything was closed, doesn't make any sense to me.

They just won't let this recover today, 68 and back down to 67 in a few minutes, crazy price activity.

Well again I topped up at 72.30 and an hour later, voila!!
Will warn you all next time.

Totally agree mountainous, just looking at all the piddly buy/sells going through, several in the 100s.
We could start by emailing M Van Diesel investor relations again, the last time I emailed about this sort of price decimation she shrugged it off, and when I posted her response on this board she reprimanded me 2 minutes later, so they do monitor this board.
Unless MMs know something about the case that we don't, or it suits CINE itself to have a very weak SP at this point. Who knows.

I agree, the sp usually tanks for a reason, but what?

One thing is for sure, CINE has received special treatment by MMs this last week at what should have been a turning point with current releases.

This is the problem with a heavily shorted " penny stock " so to speak, most will have large holdings so sp action like the last week can be 10s of thousands each bad week.
I said last week that the last time it was around early 80s in July, it dropped and then couldn't hold 70, and then we had a terrible July, August, September, its a dangerous share to have high stakes in, that's for sure.

It should never have spiked to 124 in lockdow with no revenue coming in, debt increasing, was a false market for many shares.
Maybe the question should be why has the sp been decimated since last Monday, despite decent figures both weekends?
On decent days it goes down and on bad days it tanks, rather than look back at what was clearly a false market and great opportunity to sell, why is it being decimated right now

Hope I'm wrong but with all the negative news this weekend about the global energy crisis plus the US non farm data from Friday, I can see another sell off tomorrow, not CINE related but we know how CINE gets over tanked.
I pray I'm wrong and markets are flat at the very least.

At the end of the day, it will be one person's subjective view on who she believes and whether or not she rules that because of covid, taking certain measures should be allowed.
But if she takes that view then the same should apply for CINE in pulling out, despite the actual arguments on whether contracts were breached.
I'm surely if CP were awarded the full amount, CINE should awarded their business!!

Pfc is non comparable, they were tanked because of the long term stigma attached to an sfo investigation, and suspended from bidding for adnoc contracts, and the estimated sentence fine was over 300 million dollars, so now that is put to bed, they will pay a 75 mill fine, will be able to bid etc etc
Losing the case and have substantial awards made to CP doesn't bare thinking about really, it's not this particular court case that has hampered CINE for years, was being being shorted way before, although it does seem to be the real main issue right now.
