Exactly the same thoughts, I'm so angry at Iskander giving it all the b------t over previous results presentations, people to buy partly on a CEOs forward looking statement.

Problem here is the daily volume is so low that lots of algo sells can lower the price significantly, and there are probably very few PIs who trade this.
It's supposed to be a growth stock but imo it's listed in the wrong place.
Compared to it's us peers it's undervalued and to be honest a cash cow. I hope it gets bought out and then shareholders wouldn't have to suffer the ridiculous price movements by UK mms.

Any idea what the dividend will be?

Fair enough if that's how it works, I guess with all the broken promises regarding contracts from Iskander last year in both FY 22 results and the HY update, and with the current price of the share and bond, I'm now taking everything he's said with a pinch of salt.

These guys have a stake in excess of 25% of this company between 2 funds, and even added in January.
Surely they have some clout, they can't be happy at all.

Yes but it doesn't say they are the preferred bidder, it says they were at that stage.
So possibly it could mean they are on the shortlist for preferred bidder, hence at the stage.

Someone just pointed out on the other board that this terminology could mean down to the last 2, so by no means preferred bidder.
FFS I wish I read that more carefully at the time.

This has more than halved since Iskander announced he's stepping down, on only that news and probably as a result of all his statements in previous results presentations that have yet to materialise.
The PFC bond price is now about in line with the SP, several people on this board including myself have emailed IR, and to my knowledge not one have received a response.
We've been hearing the same old thing about contracts take time, we are in a growth period etc etc, but all that is visibly happening is the SP is continuing to fall to all time lows, and shorts continue to increase.
It's an appalling situation really.

Despite being large holder here, and having added recently, I'm being very cautious right now and not expecting major rises in markets until it is evident that this banking crisis is not going to escalate further. Imo this isn't the first and probably won't be the last bank with sudden liquidity issues that need government intervention.
There is bound to be a fearful response by investors at some point, shorts targeting others, the BOE and Fed responding this week, if they raise markets fear others will follow, if they cut markets fear the problem is deeper.
What do I know but I'm keeping a longer term view on markets in general now, at least 24 onwards.

Have you read the trading update in January, and aren't you aware that all clothing retailers sell their winter lines at discount this time of year.

If history us anything to go by, with Northern Rock fiasco in September 07 and then a whole year until Lehmans in September 08, this crisis could be just beginning.
And looking back at how shares recovered post 08, some sectors rebounded quite strongly in 09, but some never reached previous highs for many years.

I sold 40k of PFC shares today in an isa at a loss of 16k and bought another 20k of these. Some might say I'm mad but I've lost all confidence in pfc, I don't trust the management and I am confident I will at least claw back that loss within 2 years ( maybe even 1).
And that adds to the other 40k I already had in my account, and 30k in my sipp. So I'm heavily in this too.
They may drop to a quid, may not, but eventually we will reap the rewards, but it's a frustrating hold sometimes.

Seems like Unite are the only union not to recommend the NHS pay offer whilst all the other unions did recommend it.
So it's no surprise that there are problems with Unite representing NEX workers.

I wouldn't be surprised if a pe make a bid for this now, given the turnaround is almost complete and debt significantly reduced.
WG recently sold assets to pay down 1.6 billion of debt, and were sitting at 130 ish, and Apollo have made 4 bids now, opportunistic last bid of 237.

That's the point I was trying to raise post results.
They said the goodwill payment in Alsa which resulted in a statutory loss was as a result of rising bond yields and the impact on debt payments.
I was asking if the rising bonds globally were the reason for such a poor sp.
Still unclear on that.
