There's a Saudi contract in the pipeline which could be significant, there's reinstating dividends which will entice some funds, and there could be a number of options being discussed to shore up the balance sheet, and last but not least there are improving macro global possible tailwind such as a ceasefire in Ukraine and inflation and interest rates reducing.

On the flip side and completely not NEX related, Putin could escalate if pushed into a corner, there could and might well be, another bank run.

You're right and very nearly sold out the other day, but refrained, so it paid of this time.
But bear in mind I've been invested over there for over 2 years, so it wasn't only the recent shorts trying to scare me to death, but an accumulation of disappointment.

I'm heavily in NEX too and although down, don't have any concerns as I have here.
I'm now even toying with the idea of selling for a loss here, I did that with CINE, sold at a 20k loss at 28p, proved a good decision in the end.
The problem I have here is that quite frankly I don't believe a word the current CEO has said here over the last year, and although it's good the new guys coming in, this is pricing like a further kitchen sinking is coming.

The difference is that PIs pay their money and do not have the ability to algo sell, drive the price, and try and alter a companies value to their own end.
So why should shorters be allowed to do that?
Fair enough, go long, hedge short but take your chances like all of us. It's wrong.

Unfortunately yes, I've been trying to average down the last 2 weeks, currently holding 100k of these , £20k down.
I don't understand how people defend shorters who are able to do this with relentless small sells, make a fortune, at the expense of ordinary shareholders and normal market dynamics.
Some PIs will sell at losses through fear, its outrageous really.
And let's be honest, say they need to do a capital raise for 200 million, how many god damn shares will be required for that amount based on this SP.

Well Sparta in their open letter to the board talked about capital allocation / share buybacks, so they obviously see a possible way how.

Does anyone think that no mention of dividends / buybacks is a possible sign that they intend to sell the business?

Unfortunately with the pathetic way MMs value decent UK companies, ut sometimes takes interest from potential buyers (not even a bid)

Look at WG recently, nearly paid off their debt, languishing under 150 and bang they receive bids which have been rejected, but the SP shot up and not because of business fundamentals.

They already held 4.7% from last year, that's all I know

This is fast turning into a disaster of an investment.
Shorts opening/increasing like easy money to be made or they all know what we don't.
What an awful situation for PIs, and for this type of trading to be legal, probably resulting in numerous PIs selling out through fear, is sickening.
I hope and pray they look at the regulations around shorting.
Yeah fair enough, some short as a hedge, but how is fair that they are legally allowed to drive a price down against market dynamics, its not a level playing field.
Just borrow the shares and take your chance like all of us.

The market seems to be saying funding won't happen.
This is down 50% in 1 month.
I can't see how this can be spun as positive in any way.

The only thing I would add is liquidity was over 409 million on 15th December, and they stated that expected payments first half for mature contracts that were either completed or very close to completion, so those payments if they've come in prior to next month should strengthen the balance sheet. And they also expect 5 of the remaining 8 mature contracts will be completed in 23.
This is assuming Iskander can be believed.

Also bear in mind that whichever shorts increased yesterday, it was more than likely before any news of the increased pay offer, because wasn't that towards the end of the day.
Might see a decrease today when Mondays figures are updated.

I can't believe these guys who have collectively over 25% aren't trying to do something about this free fall situation.
