There is growing unrest within the ranks of both BP and Shell shareholders at the moment, both companies are reducing debt hugely and also buying back millions of shares whilst the shareholders get a much reduced dividend that was set in a period of severe reductions in profits.
Why reduce debt probably incurred on much better terms in previous years than could be negotiated in the middle of an inflation led recession, something that is in all likelyhood just around the corner.
We need a dividend raise and we need it announced tomorrow, at the current rates we are behind the rate of inflation and effectively making less then we made last year in real terms.

Are "green employees" in danger of being angered by BP's oil production profits the same type of planet savers who take a salary from a slaughterhouse but it's OK because they work in the offices and don't eat meat?

Give some to us shareholders then, that's what we are here for, for God's sake.
Increase the divi, a special divi, either would boost the SP from these lows.

With all that's gone on this week, it beggars belief that we still have posters who are more interested in their own petty squabbles than the biggest shift in the SOLG story for years.
It's not all about you Mr Going Into Production and the Arch Reporter.
It transpires that the vast majority of posters in the last 24hrs agree with your nemesis.

I keep going back to the fact that Colin isn't a young man, he may well be in the final 10/15% of his life (sorry Colin)
He's still massively ambitious though and fully intends to have the best life. I think he also wants a legacy and this could be the last hurrah he's planned before he rides off into the sunset, pockets stuffed with money.
I'll be doing the same but with maybe not quite so much stuffed in my trousers.
I've been a CB investor for about 20% of my life, I'm hoping he will be making a major contribution to the remainder of it.

It's apparent by the reaction to the RNS that speculation is better for the SP than information.

The extent as to which this company has lost it's direction is staggering.
It's like Forrest Gump crossed with Being There.

No Divi increase in these inflationary times is effectively a divi cut.

I think there's a clue in the name, I have a holding in SOLG too and I wish I hadn't.
Fortunately I have a bigger holding here that has much better prospects in a much shorter timeframe.
