Correct, it was divided by ten because there were ten months left in the year, if it had been nine months it would have been divided by nine, 12 by 12. If they pay the same % for 12 months next year it will be a bonus but only if you are in for the full 12

My opinion:
We need higher divis and buybacks.
My reason: and sorry it won't be technical .
We had a HUGE raise that crippled the SP for at least 8 months.
That investment has paid off in spades, we are making, and sitting on tons of cash, if it isn't making over 5% in the bank it's devaluing, unless the company have the spare cash after capex earmarked for a bargain sometime soon it would make sense to buyback and increase the divi. I.E. We should buy back the placing shares, they have served their purpose.
If we need a lump of cash in the future we can borrow it, I should imagine our credit is pretty good, we can have a placing as before( not so good) If we don't then all well and good.
My take is this. If you aren't making your money make money you aren't trying hard enough.
Happy to be shown why I'm wrong if I am.
All very simplistic but I don't pretend to be an oil man, I'm here to make money, preferably over a long period and that's how I've run my businesses in the past.

Quady, the way you speak about Slug does betray your absolute hatred of him.
Judging by the last two days ( and in many previous incarnations) he has demonstrated he has strong opinions, many of which the majority of posters here agree with, including me.
Please notice I said MANY not all, None of us fully agree with each other, what would be the point of these boards if we did ?
Other posters who showed open opposition to him in the past now converse with him in a spirited way but with little or no animosity.
I know you have a black and white way of looking at the world and that's why you have a hard time accepting him but he does bring debate to this board and maybe you should give him a chance as I think he's a realist and that's what businesses like this one are built on.

Your second point confirms the fact that we still require energy from fossil fuels at least until we have a nuclear option.
We shouldn't have to be at the mercy of the wind and sunlight to power a modern society.
Personally I'm all for reliable cheap green energy as it leaves the remaining fossil fuels in less demand and therefore at a reasonable price to power my Corvettes and Harleys and fly me around the planet.

It's certainly not impossible it's just cables.

At least some of it will be dilution, exchanging funding for % of the company, however it is achieved it has the potential to dilute our stake including deals based on future profits.

I’d agree on that.

Why would bhp acquiring it be so bad if they paid a fair price that the shareholders agreed to ?
The majority would prefer a fair price as opposed to more dilution going to production, especially the PI’s I think.
